👨‍⚕️𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 & 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 in Porsha, Naogaon

Bangladesh Police Women’s Welfare Association (PUNAK) and German University Bangladesh (Department of Public Health) jointly organized a Free Health Camp and Health Awareness Programme in Porsha, Naogaon.

The event was graced by:

✨Dr. Monoarul Haque – Head, Department of Public Health, German University Bangladesh

This program included a comprehensive health awareness session conducted by German University Bangladesh (Department of Public Health), focusing on educating adolescent girls about personal hygiene as well as informing community members about contraception, snakebite prevention, and other important health issues. During the event, the chief guest distributed educational materials and menstrual hygiene kits from the Bangladesh Police Women’s Welfare Association (PUNAK) among the school students. She also provided winter clothing to distressed, helpless, and underprivileged individuals in the community.

Efforts like these significantly contribute to strengthening community health education and enhancing overall quality of life.

The orientation ceremony for the German University Bangladesh Public Health Club's (GUBPHC) newly formed executive committee was held at the GUB auditorium on September 26, 2025. The event was graced by Professor Dr. Sanjay Kumar Adhikary, the honorable Vice-Chancellor of GUB, and Dr. Md. Monoarul Haque, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Head of the Department of Public Health.

At the beginning of the event, the newly formed committee received the honorable guests with floral bouquets. Following this, Mahmud Hasan, the club's president, gave a presentation on its vision, mission, and action plan for the coming tenure. Next, General Secretary Md. Mamun, Organizing Secretary Faysal Bin Jahangir, and Joint Secretary Mukter Hossain each delivered a speech.

The honorable Vice-Chancellor welcomed every member of the Public Health Club's Executive Committee-2025. In his speech, he stressed the importance of embracing morality and ethics for the academic and professional development of students. He also guided the committee on how to formulate the club's vision and mission to enrich its functional dynamism within the community.

The new committee took an oath to work on health awareness programs and academic excellence by collaborating with local and international NGOs and other higher educational institutions in Bangladesh.
At the end of the event, Dr. Md. Monoarul Haque delivered his closing remarks for the program by giving special thanks to the convenor of the program.

Among the other faculty members Md. Abu Hasnat Abdullah (Lecturer), Nahida Akter (Lecturer), Rowshan Ara Afrin (Lecturer) were also present at the event.

📢 বিজিসিসিআই-এর সাথে জিইউবি-এর সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষর অনুষ্ঠান

সমঝোতার উদ্দেশ্য:
• বাংলাদেশ ও জার্মানির মধ্যে একাডেমিক উৎকর্ষতা, পেশাগত উন্নয়ন এবং দ্বিপাক্ষিক সম্পর্ক উন্নীত করা।
• জার্মানিতে উচ্চ শিক্ষা, গবেষণা, এবং পেশাদার প্রশিক্ষণের জন্য GUB ছাত্র এবং অনুষদের জন্য সুযোগ তৈরি করা।
• শিল্প-অ্যাকাডেমিয়া সহযোগিতা এবং বৃত্তি এবং অন্যান্য একাডেমিক উদ্যোগের জন্য নিরাপদ সহায়তার সুবিধার্থে BGCCI-এর নেটওয়ার্কের সুবিধা নেওয়া।

আলোচিত মূল ক্ষেত্রগুলো ছিল :
• বৃত্তি এবং আর্থিক সাহায্য যেমন ছাত্রদের বৃত্তি, অনুষদ বৃত্তি এবং বৃত্তি তহবিল।
