Today, the Farewell of the 2nd Batch (R) & 10th Batch (DH) and the Freshers Reception of the 18th Batch was successfully held, organized by the Department of Environmental Science and Technology at German University Bangladesh.

The event was a wonderful gathering where we bid a heartfelt farewell to our graduating students and warmly welcomed the new members of our department. It was a memorable occasion filled with appreciation, inspiration, and the beginning of new academic journeys.

We wish our graduating students great success in their future endeavors and extend our best wishes to the freshers as they begin their academic life with us.

The Department of Environmental Science and Technology proudly congratulates Labib E Alam Plaban (Student, EST 8th Batch) and Imran Hossain (Students, EST 9th Batch) for their research presentation at the 8th International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD 2026), Dhaka.

Their research contributions “Disappearing Winter: A Study of Dhaka City’s Winter Temperature Transformation” and “A Machine Learning Approach for Predicting Temperature and Rainfall in Bangladesh”, highlight critical issues of climate change, urban heat dynamics, and advanced data-driven climate forecasting.
We wish them continued success in their academic and research journeys and look forward to more impactful contributions in the field of environmental science and climate studies.
