M M College (Michael Madhusudan)
M M College (Michael Madhusudan) was established at jessore in 1941. Mahitosh Roychowdhury convened a meeting of the local elite in August 1940 to establish the college. The meeting was attended by Surendranath Haldar, the chairman of the Jessore Municipality and district judge S K Gupta and it resolved to form a 34-member executive committee with Khsitinath Ghosh

as its secretary. At that time the college was named Jessore College. The first principal of the college was Dr. Dhirendranath Kar. In the first year of academic activities, the college had 146 students, of which 4 were girls. 109 of them were Hindus and 37 Muslims. Two separate hostels were constructed for Hindu and Muslim students. During the Second World War the British Forces used the college building as one of their camps and the college had to be shifted to the Kacharibari (estate office) of the zamindar of Hatbaria. It was again shifted to its original place in 1945 and was renamed Michael Madhusudan College after the name of michael madhusudan dutt. The college faced financial hardships after the Partition of Bengal in 1947. District magistrate H S Nomani helped a lot to overcome the problem of the college. The college introduced BCom (Pass) and BSc (Honours) programmes in the 1950s. In 1962, it was shifted to a new place in the Kharki Mouza. The Shaheed Minar of the college was constructed around this time. The college introduced Honours courses in Bangla, Economics and Geography in the 1960s. It was nationalised in 1968. Honours courses in Physics, Botany, Mathematics, Chemistry, Management and Accounting were introduced in the college in 1991. It introduced Masters programme in 1992. In 1995-96 academic year, it introduced honours courses in English. At present, the college offers honours programme in 18 disciplines and Masters programme in 20 disciplines. At present, the college has 22.18 acres of land. It has 7 buildings that accommodate classrooms and offices. It has a playground, 2 mosques, 2 ponds, 2 common rooms and 3 students' hostels. It also has independent houses for the principal and hostel superintendent, as well as for the teachers and other staff. There is a post office and a canteen in the college campus. The number of students in the college is about 7,500 and that of teachers is 95, of which 11 are women. The central library of the college has a collection of 22,330 books. Students take part in cultural activities through 3 cultural organisations. The students of the college are active in the bangladesh national cadet core, Rover Scouts and in Red Crescent. Many teachers and students of the college took active part in the war of liberation in 1971.

দেশজুড়ে আবার শুরু হয়েছে স্মার্ট জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র (NID) বিতরণ কার্যক্রম
উদ্যোগটি নিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ নির্বাচন কমিশন (ইসি)
যারা আগে ভোটার হলেও স্মার্ট কার্ড পাননি এবং নতুন ভোটার—তাদের জন্য এই কার্যক্রম
একসাথে সব জেলায় নয়, ধাপে ধাপে ও এলাকা ভিত্তিতে কার্ড বিতরণ হচ্ছে

ঘরে বসেই এসএমএসের মাধ্যমে জানা যাবে স্মার্ট এনআইডির বর্তমান অবস্থা
এসএমএস ফরম্যাট:

পাঠাতে হবে: ১০৫ নম্বরে
যাদের এনআইডি ১৩ সংখ্যার, তারা জন্মসাল যোগ করে ১৭ সংখ্যা পূরণ করে পাঠাবেন

🌐 স্মার্ট কার্ড না পেলেও অনলাইনে এনআইডি কপি
স্মার্ট কার্ড হাতে না পেলেও
ইসি’র অফিসিয়াল ওয়েবসাইট থেকে এনআইডির অনলাইন কপি (PDF) ডাউনলোড করা যাবে
অনেক কাজে এই কপি ব্যবহারযোগ্য হলেও, কিছু ক্ষেত্রে মূল স্মার্ট কার্ড প্রয়োজন

একজন তরুণ পর্বতারোহী মাউন্ট এভারেস্ট জয় করার স্বপ্ন দেখতেন। তিনি যখন তার প্রশিক্ষণ শুরু করলেন, তখন তার মনে হলো এভারেস্টের চূড়ায় পৌঁছানো প্রায় অসম্ভব। তার প্রশিক্ষক তাকে বললেন, "তুমি এভারেস্টকে একবারে দেখছ কেন? তুমি কেবল আজকের ক্যাম্প পর্যন্ত পৌঁছানোর দিকে মনোযোগ দাও।"

পর্বতারোহী তখন তার কৌশল পরিবর্তন করলেন। তিনি প্রতিদিনের ছোট ছোট লক্ষ্যগুলো পূরণ করতে শুরু করলেন—আজকের পথে সফলভাবে হাঁটা, আজকের আবহাওয়া মোকাবিলা করা, আজকের নির্দিষ্ট বিশ্রামস্থলে পৌঁছানো। যখনই তিনি একটি ছোট লক্ষ্য অর্জন করতেন, তখনই তিনি নিজেকে মানসিক বা ছোট উপহার দিয়ে পুরস্কৃত করতেন। এই ছোট ছোট জয়গুলো তাকে পরবর্তী ধাপের জন্য শক্তি ও আত্মবিশ্বাস দিত। অবশেষে, তিনি এভারেস্ট জয় করলেন।
