ডাঃ মমতাজ বেগম ইউনিভার্সিটি অব সায়েন্স এন্ড টেকনোলজি কর্তৃক আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস পালন

যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদা ও গভীর শ্রদ্ধার মধ্য দিয়ে কিশোরগঞ্জের ভৈরবে অবস্থিত ডাঃ মমতাজ বেগম ইউনিভার্সিটি অব সায়েন্স এন্ড টেকনোলজি কর্তৃক ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস পালন করা হয়। দিবসটি উপলক্ষে জাতীয় পতাকা অর্ধনমিত করা হয় এবং ভাষা শহীদদের স্বরণে এক মিনিট নিরবতা পালন করা হয়। পরবর্তী কর্মসূচির অংশ হিসেবে ক্যাম্পাসের কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনারে ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করা হয়।

পুষ্প অর্পণ শেষে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্যোগে প্রকাশিত দেয়ালিকা ‘চেতনায়-৫২’-এর দ্বিতীয় সংখ্যার আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) প্রফেসর ড. মোহাম্মদ আজিজুল হক। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন রেজিস্ট্রার (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) মো. জাকির হোসেন, বিভিন্ন ফ্যাকাল্টির ডিন, বিভিন্ন বিভাগের চেয়ারম্যানবৃন্দ, শিক্ষক, কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারী ও শিক্ষার্থীরা।

Study tours are wonderful way to gain knowledge from the real world outside the textbooks, which expands the minds and thoughts of students, connect teachers and students of different minds.

On 07.02.26 (Saturday), Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology has organized an educational tour for the Department of CSE including other departments at Subarnagram Resort in Narayanganj.

This enjoyable tour will further enrich the learning process of the students and refresh minds.

Orientation Program for the 4th Batch Students of Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology

Today, January 11, 2026 (Sunday), a colorful Orientation Program for the newly admitted students of the fourth batch (Spring Semester 2026) of Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology was held in the University’s Digital Conference Room. The program was presided over by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain. The Chief Guest was the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Azizul Hoque. He expressed deep gratitude while remembering the far-sighted initiative of the founder—eminent educationist and valiant freedom fighter Dr. H. B. M. Iqbal—for establishing this university in Bhairab and thereby opening wide opportunities for higher education for students of the region. He stated, “For a student, university life is not confined to textbooks alone—it is a pathway to acquiring leadership, values, and skills. And these four years are the best time to shape oneself into a competent individual.”

The welcome address was delivered by Professor Dr. AFM Nazmus Sadat, Director of IQAC and Dean, Faculty of Science. He urged the newcomers to recognize the necessity of higher education and to be prepared to set future goals. In their speeches, the Deans of various faculties and departmental Chairpersons highlighted the academic structure, research, practical knowledge, library facilities, cultural and sports activities, IT-related opportunities, and the importance of ethics in character building. University administrative officials also addresses the applicable rules and regulations, facilities, and administrative guidelines for students.

Senior student Tamanna Akter Bithi from the Department of Pharmacy and Nahid Hasan from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering shared their experiences with the newcomer’s students and shed light on ways to achieve academic success. New student Samia Akter from the Department of Business Administration and Robin Ahmed from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering expressed their feelings, stating that the warm reception they received on their very first day at the university had significantly boosted their confidence and enthusiasm.

In his concluding remarks, Acting Registrar, Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain, the Chairperson of the program advised the new students to strive for good academic results and to develop themselves as responsible citizens, and he thanked all concerned for making the program a success. The event was attended by the University’s respected Faculty Members, Officers, Staff, and Students from various departments.

The program was conducted by Mr. Md. Abdur Rashid, Chairman of the Department of Business Administration and Proctor of the university.

Admission Fair, Spring Semester-2026

Today, January 11, 2026 (Sunday), at 10:30 a.m., an Admission Fair for the Spring Semester-2026 (January-June) session was inaugurated at Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology, located in Banshgari, Bhairab, offering attractive admission discounts. The Admission Fair was formally inaugurated by the Honorable Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Azizul Hoque.

On the occasion of the Admission Fair, students are being offered a 50% waiver on admission fees, along with tuition fee waivers ranging from 10% to 100% based on SSC and HSC or equivalent examination results, as well as various additional discounts under different categories. Specially, students from different colleges in Bhairab are eligible for an additional discount up to 25%, while female students are being offered an extra 15% discount on admission during the Admission Fair.

It is worth mentioning that these attractive discounts are applicable only during the Admission Fair period, which will continue from January 11, 2026 to January 21, 2026 (date may be extended).

Following the inauguration of the Admission Fair, an interactive meeting was arranged with prospective students and their guardians. During the session, students expressed keen interest in admission, and after visiting the well-equipped laboratories and the impressive campus, both students and guardians expressed their satisfaction.

In addition to the inauguration and the discussion session, those present included the Acting Registrar of Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology, Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain; Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Dr. AFM Nazmus Sadat; Dean of the Faculty of Business, Dr. Akim M. Rahman; Proctor, Md. Abdur Rashid; as well as all Faculty Members, Officers, Staff, and Students of the University.
