Modernity is characterized by scientific thoughts, individualism, industrialization, and technological advancements. Although change is an inevitable part of nature, in recent times the transformations have become rapid and drastic. Be it a day-to-day activity or a larger social activity, every single aspect of our lives has drastically transformed in the 21st century- especially those of the young generation. From books to pdf, letters to texts, playing in fields to playing video games, change is everywhere.

The young generation lies at the heart of the nation-building process. Hence, as the citizens of the nation and the pursuers of knowledge, it is of extreme importance to analyze the transformations our young generation is undergoing in terms of their values, behavior, etiquette, and culture.

The Department of Sociology, Bangladesh University of Professionals feels the urge to recapitulate the change in social behavior, etiquette, and youth culture in our society. In this regard, we are pleased to inform you that the Department of Sociology, Bangladesh University of Professionals(BUP) is going to arrange a seminar entitled "The changing pattern of social behaviour Etiquette and youth culture in modern era: social Insights on Bangladesh."

From petty crimes to murder, stalking to r**e, mugging to drug abuse -- teen gangs have been making headlines again for the last few months. At the age when they were supposed to be busy with studies, games and sports and cultural pursuits, they have been mastering the art of bullying their juniors, peers or even seniors. Teenagers, not only in Dhaka city but also in many other cities, and small towns in Bangladesh have been earning notoriety for their criminal acts.

Department of Sociology, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) understands the necessity to find ways to end this extremely terrifying incident happening in our society. In this regard, we are proud to announce that the Department of Sociology, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) is going to arrange a webinar entitled ‘Rising Teen-Gang Culture and Violence in Bangladesh: Revisiting Juvenile Delinquency from Sociological lens’.

May 5 denotes the birthday of Karl Marx.

Karl Marx best known as the author of "Capital" and, with Freidrich Engels, the "Communist Manifesto," Marx gave the scholarly establishment to a variety of administrations that at one time represented almost 50% of Earth's populace.
