It was established in 1946 and was named after Muminunnesa Khan, mother of a reputed businessman M. Initially established as a private college, it was nationalized in 1982 and was upgraded into a university-college in 1993. It offers und

ergraduate and post-graduate courses in different faculties including Humanities and Science. It has a halls of residence within the campus.
