Pharmacy Premier League Season 8 ....................................................................

The Department of Pharmacy, Varendra University, is set to host the Grand Final of Pharmacy Premier League (PPL) Season 8 on 18 October 2026 (Sunday) at the Varendra University Playground.

The tournament featured four teams: Antidote, Caffeine, Chromophore, and Venomous competing in a series of exciting matches held on 14 and 15 October 2026.

Following the completion of the league matches, Chromophore and Caffeine have advanced to the grand final, while Antidote and Venomous also showcased their competitive spirit throughout the tournament.

The Department of Pharmacy, Varendra University, successfully organized Indoor Games 2026 on 10 October 2026, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie among faculty members and students.

Department of Pharmacy, Varendra University Organizes Seminar on Career Planning and Opportunities in the Pharmaceutical Industry

The Department of Pharmacy, Varendra University, successfully organized a seminar titled “Career Planning and Opportunities in the Pharmaceutical Industry” to provide students with practical insights into career development and professional opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector.

The seminar featured Mr. Anowar Sadat, General Manager, Production, NIPRO JMI Pharma Limited, as the speaker. He shared valuable insights into the pharmaceutical industry, career pathways, professional skills, and the competencies required for aspiring pharmacists to build successful careers.
At the beginning of the seminar, Professor Dr. Bytul Mokaddesur Rahman, Head, Department of Pharmacy, Varendra University, delivered the welcome speech. He welcomed the distinguished speaker and participants and emphasized the importance of industry-oriented knowledge and career planning for pharmacy students.

The session provided an engaging platform for students to enhance their understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and gain practical guidance for making informed decisions about their future careers. The speaker also discussed diverse career opportunities and the professional competencies required to succeed in the pharmaceutical sector.

The seminar concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing students to engage with the speaker and seek guidance on career development and professional growth.

“Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures” প্রতিপাদ্যকে সামনে রেখে বরেন্দ্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ফার্মেসি বিভাগের উদ্যোগে বিশ্ব ফার্মাসিস্ট দিবস ২০২৬ উদযাপন করা হয়েছে।
২৬ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৬ সকাল ১০টায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্লাজায় বেলুন ওড়ানো, পায়রা অবমুক্তকরণ ও কেক কাটার মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের উদ্বোধন করেন বরেন্দ্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মো. খাদেমুল ইসলাম মোল্যা। পরবর্তীতে শিক্ষক, কর্মকর্তা, কর্মচারী ও শিক্ষার্থীদের অংশগ্রহণে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্লাজা থেকে একটি বর্ণাঢ্য শোভাযাত্রা বের করা হয়।

উদ্বোধনী পর্ব শেষে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অডিটোরিয়ামে আলোচনা ও সেমিনার পর্ব অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সেমিনারে ফার্মেসি শিক্ষা, পেশাগত দক্ষতা, স্বাস্থ্যসেবায় ফার্মাসিস্টদের ভূমিকা এবং ভবিষ্যৎ সম্ভাবনা নিয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আলোচনা করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে স্বাগত বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক সানজিয়া মেহজাবিন এবং মূল প্রবন্ধ উপস্থাপন করেন রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক ড. গোলাম সাদিক।
অনুষ্ঠানে সম্মানিত অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্কয়ার ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস পিএলসির সিনিয়র ম্যানেজার (প্রোডাকশন) মো. আবদুল লতিফ, স্কয়ার ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস পিএলসির সিনিয়র ম্যানেজার (কোয়ালিটি অ্যাস্যুরেন্স) মো. আবদুর রাজ্জাক এবং এসেনসিয়াল ড্রাগস কোম্পানি লিমিটেডের ডেপুটি জেনারেল ম্যানেজার (ডিজিএম) ও প্ল্যান্ট প্রধান মো. ওহিদুল ইসলাম।
সেমিনার পর্ব শেষে বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতায় বিজয়ীদের মাঝে পুরস্কার বিতরণ করা হয়। পাশাপাশি বিশ্ব ফার্মাসিস্ট দিবস উপলক্ষে সায়েন্টিফিক পোস্টার প্রেজেন্টেশন প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
বিশ্ব ফার্মাসিস্ট দিবস ২০২৬ উদযাপনে সহযোগিতার জন্য বিভিন্ন স্পন্সর প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতিনিধিদের সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হয় এবং স্পন্সর অ্যাওয়ার্ড তুলে দেওয়া হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানের প্লাটিনাম স্পন্সর হিসেবে সহযোগিতা করেছে বীকন ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লিমিটেড এবং সিলভার স্পন্সর হিসেবে সহযোগিতা করেছে অপসোনিন ফার্মা লিমিটেড। এছাড়া অ্যাসোসিয়েট স্পন্সর হিসেবে সহযোগিতা করেছে এপেক্স ফার্মা লিমিটেড, ডিবিএল ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লিমিটেড, টিম ফার্মা লিমিটেড, এসবি ল্যাবরেটরিজ এবং ইউনিমেড ইউনিহেলথ ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লিমিটেড।
এ আয়োজনের মাধ্যমে স্বাস্থ্যসেবায় ফার্মাসিস্টদের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা, পেশাগত দায়িত্ব এবং ভবিষ্যৎ সম্ভাবনা তুলে ধরা হয়। একই সঙ্গে শিক্ষক, শিক্ষার্থী, একাডেমিয়া ও শিল্পখাতের প্রতিনিধিদের অংশগ্রহণে ফার্মাসি পেশার বিভিন্ন দিক নিয়ে মতবিনিময়ের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি হয়।
ফার্মেসি বিভাগের প্রধান প্রফেসর ড. মো. বায়তুল মোকাদ্দেছুর রহমানের সমাপনী বক্তব্যের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তি ঘটে।
