The Department of Law successfully concluded its Intradepartmental Cricket Tournament with a thrilling final, where Duronto (Ex) clinched a spectacular victory against the Dynamic Lions.

The Department of Law at City University came alive with vibrant energy, rhythm, and melody yesterday during a spectacular Cultural Afternoon organized to showcase the diverse talents of our students.

The event featured a brilliant array of performances, ranging from graceful classical solo dances and dynamic group fusions to soul-stirring folk music and acoustic guitar sessions that left the audience spellbound.

Guided smoothly by our eloquent student emcees, the program beautifully demonstrated that our aspiring legal minds are not only dedicated to their academics but also deeply rooted in cultural expression and artistic excellence. The Department of Law at City University successfully hosted the grand finale of its intra-departmental Debate Competition showcasing exceptional public speaking, sharp analytical skills, and brilliant legal argumentation from the talented students.
Following a series of intellectually stimulating rounds, the ceremony concluded with an official prize distribution to honor the outstanding performances of the champions ,runners-up and best performers of the tournament.
The prestigious awards were graciously given away by the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Science Prof. Abu Zayed Mohammad sir and the Head of the Department, Md. Zakaria Sir, who both commended the participants for their high standards of debate and emphasized the vital role of advocacy and critical thinking in a successful legal career.

The Department of Law at City University organized a memorable farewell programme yesterday to honor and bid adieu to the graduating students of the 39th batch.

​The solemn ceremony was graced by the presence of our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Lutfor Rahman (Retd.), alongside the Controller of Examinations and the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration.
​We were deeply honored to have Prof. Abu Zayed Mohammad, the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, attend the event as the Chief Guest. The programme was successfully conducted under the able chairmanship of the Head of the Department, Md. Zakaria Sir.

The seminar series, organized as part of the department's continuous academic development initiative, featured a succession of presentations delivered by the faculty members of the department over the course of the term, designed to equip students with essential academic and professional skills.

The Department of Law officially inaugurated its Intradepartmental Cricket Tournament today. The opening ceremony was distinguished by the presence of the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Professor Abu Zayed Mohammad sir, and the Head of the Department, Mohammad Zakariya sir.

Department of Law, City University⚖️

The Department of Law at City University successfully organized an enriching court visit to the District and Session Judge Court, Gazipur. This practical exposure provided the students with a valuable opportunity to witness real-life legal proceedings and deepen their understanding of the judicial system.

It was a great honour to receive the warm hospitality of Metropolitan Session Judge ,Shariar Kabir Sir, an esteemed Adjunct Faculty Member of the department. His guidance, insights, and support made this visit both informative and inspiring. His interaction with the students and thoughtful guidance added immense value to this learning experience.

The students were also guided throughout the visit by the respected court officials, whose cooperation and support greatly helped in understanding court procedures in a smooth and meaningful way.

Sincere appreciation goes to the honorable faculty members who accompanied the students and contributed to make this educational tour a success.

Such initiatives reflect a strong commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing students to excel in the legal profession.
