The SUST family proudly welcomes Professor Dr. Md. Khairul Islam as the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet — a scholar and administrator whose career stands as a benchmark of academic distinction and institutional leadership.

A recipient of the nation's most coveted academic honours — the Prime Minister Award, the Chancellor Gold Medal, the UGC Merit Scholarship, First Class First and Faculty First in both BBA and MBA, and a CGPA of 3.94/4.00 with Distinction — Professor Khairul Islam went on to earn his PhD in Marketing from the University of Dhaka, building a scholarly foundation few in the country can match.
Over 22+ years of dedicated service to SUST, he has risen from Lecturer (2004) to Professor, and has shouldered some of the university's most demanding leadership responsibilities — Dean of the School of Management & Business Administration (2021–2023), Head of the Department of Business Administration, Member of the Academic Council and Board of Advanced Studies, UGC Representative on the Quality Assurance Committee, University of Chittagong, and Expert Member on selection boards across eight national universities. His leadership is defined by strategic vision, ethical governance, financial stewardship, quality assurance, and an unwavering commitment to building institutions that endure.
His academic footprint extends from the Said Business School, University of Oxford to the University of London, with active leadership in the EU & Erasmus+ funded MBA in Family Business Management programme spanning Portugal, Cyprus, Malaysia, and Cambodia. With 15+ peer-reviewed publications, multiple externally funded research projects (BANBEIS, URC, SUST Research Centre), and the supervision of PhD, MPhil, and MBA scholars, his contribution to higher education in Bangladesh is both deep and enduring.

🎓Important Admission Guidelines for MBA in Family Business Management at SUST 📚

Dear selected candidates, please note the following guidelines and bring the required documents to complete your admission process:

1. You will collect Admission form from Room no. 322, Academic Building E

2. Attach 2 attested passport size photographs along with 2 stamp size photographs.

3. Bring original and 2 photocopies of the following attested certificates
- SSC certificate and transcript / Mark sheet
- HSC certificate and transcript/ Mark sheet
- Bachelor's degree certificate and transcript/ Mark sheet
- Masters certificate and transcript/ Mark sheet

4. Working professionals or job holders must submit a NOC from their organization.

5. Deposit BDT 12,000 as admission fees in the SUST account "FAB Project-SUST, 5632502000784, Sonali Bank Ltd., SUST Branch" and attach the slip with form.

Please ensure all Mark sheet, transcripts and certificates are properly attested.

Admission will only be finalized after submission of the above fees, documents and fulfilling all eligibility criteria as per SUST rules.
