Public Administration Society :

According to the Constitution of the Public Administration Society, General Secretary Abdullah Al Malek Chowdhury has been appointed as Acting Vice-President under Section 9(d), while Assistant General Secretary Shawan Akanda has been appointed as Acting General Secretary under Section 9(e) to complete the remaining tenure of the committee.

Furthermore, under Section 16 of the Constitution, Md. Asfak Ur Rahman and Sharmin Sultana Rima from the (2025–26) academic session have been elected as Executive Members of the 1st Executive Committee of the Public Administration Society.

A glimpse into the cherished moments from "Onuronon"- Freshers' Reception & Cultural Evening 2026, held on 5 July 2026, organized by Soptodoshe Songshoptok with the overall support of the Public Administration Society, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Professor Dr. Md. Khairul Islam, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of SUST, as the Chief Guest, while Professor Dr. Fatema Khatun, Head of the Department of Public Administration, presided over the program.

📢 Research Publication Announcement

We are pleased to share that a research article authored by faculty and students of our department has been published in BMC Women's Health (Q1 Journal, Impact Factor: 2.7), under the special collection Menstrual Health and Hygiene in Low-Resource Settings.

Title: Self-reported menstrual-related physical and psychological symptoms and health-seeking behaviour among rural school-going adolescent girls in Bangladesh
Author: Abdul Basit, Kanij Fatema, Mohammad Ohid Ullah, Md. Assraf Seddiky & Mahfuzul Mithun
The study investigated menstrual-related physical and psychological symptoms, menstrual irregularity, and health-seeking behaviour among rural adolescent schoolgirls in Bangladesh. Findings indicate a substantial burden of menstrual symptoms and highlight the need for improved awareness, stigma reduction, and accessible adolescent-friendly health services.
