ᴶᵘˡʸ ᵁᵖʳⁱˢⁱⁿᵍ ᴰᵃʸ, ⁵ᵗʰ ᴬᵘᵍᵘˢᵗ ²⁰²⁶ 🇧🇩
On the occasion of July Uprising Day, a rally and a discussion meeting were held at Leading University, Sylhet. On Wednesday morning August 5, 2026, the national flag was hoisted, followed by a rally led by the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, philanthropist Dr. Syed Ragib Ali sir. Following the rally, at 12:00 PM, a discussion meeting chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of Leading University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Taj Uddin, was held on the ground floor of the Ragib Ali Building. At the event, July fighters of Leading University were recognized, and members of the martyrs' families were honored. Additionally, prizes were awarded to the winners of the July-themed quiz competitions.
Samiha Adiba Choudhury(63rd batch) from English Department, Leading University secured the 3rd position in the quiz competition.
Today's event was hosted by Ali Omar sir, Lecturer, Department of English, Leading University.

On Monday, June 29, 2026 the Department of English at Leading University convened the 4th phase of Lecture Series in Gallery-1. The successful event served as a platform for scholarly exchange, highlighting student research through a series of paper presentations delivered by representatives from various academic batches. 🖋️📚

Among the presenters, Fairuz Anika Sristy from 64th batch, Ayesha Talukdar from 65th batch and Emma from 67th batch delivered their presentation.

The session was chaired by Mrs. Shammi Akter, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Modern Languages, attended the event as the Special Guest. The Lecture Series Organizing Committee was convened by Mr. Ali Omar, Lecturer, Department of English.
Students from Leading University's English Department, namely Md. Nafizul Islam Nahid from the 66th batch and Nuzha Tabassum Anam from the 69th batch, hosted the event.

The "Freshers' Reception & General Meeting – Summer 2026," organized by the Leading University Language and Literature Club (LULLC), concluded successfully amidst great enthusiasm, excitement, and a vibrant literary atmosphere. Held on June 16 at the university’s Language Lab, the event warmly welcomed freshers and honored the members of the outgoing committee. 🎉🎊
The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Mohammed Taj Uddin Sir, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim Sir, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Modern Languages, was present as the Special Guest. Respected faculty members of the Department of English also attended the event. 🌟

A major highlight of the event was a captivating cultural performance that showcased the creativity and talents of the students. Additionally, executive members of the club welcomed the freshers with greeting cards, fostering a warm and cordial atmosphere.
The vibrant presence of the Club Executive Committee (2025–2026), general members, and freshers made the event truly colorful. 💚
The program was anchored by English Department students Nahid Hasan(66th Batch) and Maisha Momtaz Chowdhury(67th Batch). The overall coordination and management of the event were overseen by Ashfaque Ahmad Shovon Sir, Assistant Professor, Department of English as well as Co-Advisor of LULLC.
