বঙ্গবন্ধু টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কলেজটি বাংলাদেশের টাঙ্গাইলের কালিহাতীতে অবস্থিত। কলেজটি একাডেমিকভাবে বাংলাদেশ টেক্সটাইল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় দ্বারা পরিচালিত হয়। পূর্বে এটি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (প্রথম ব্যাচ -৯ম ব্যাচ) দ্বারা পরিচালিত হয়েছিল। এটি ৭টি টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কলেজগুলির মধ্যে একটি যা সরাসরি বাংলাদেশের বস্ত্র ও পাট মন্ত্রনালয় দ্বারা নিয়ন্ত্রিত। কলেজটি 2007 সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল।

Curriculum: টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এর প্রাথমিক ধারণা ছাড়াও প্রথম বর্ষের সিলেবাস ফান্ডামেন্টাল সায়েন্স নিয়ে গঠিত। দ্বিতীয় বছর থেকে শিক্ষার্থীরা ভবিষ্যৎ কর্মসংস্থানের জন্য সজ্জিত করার জন্য টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এর ক্ষেত্রে বিস্তৃত তাত্ত্বিক এবং ব্যবহারিক জ্ঞান অর্জন করে। তৃতীয় বর্ষে শিক্ষার্থীরা টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং সম্পর্কে সম্পূর্ণ জ্ঞান অর্জন করতে সক্ষম হয়। চতুর্থ বা চূড়ান্ত বর্ষে শিক্ষার্থীদের বিশেষায়নের জন্য বিষয়গুলির গ্রুপ নির্বাচন করতে হয়।

এর মধ্যে রয়েছে:
1.Department Of Yarn Engineering.
2.Department Of Fabric Engineering.
3.Department Of Wet Process Engineering. 4.Department Of Apparel Engineering.

এছাড়াও Industrial ইন্টার্নশিপ, Thesis/Project Work, Presentation, Oral Viva আছে।

মোট Credit: 160/162/164. Students: বর্তমানে কলেজটিতে প্রায় ৪২০ জন শিক্ষার্থী রয়েছেন। এর মধ্যে প্রায় ১৫% মহিলা।

Admission: ভর্তি পদ্ধতিটি বাংলাদেশের টেক্সটাইল বিভাগ দ্বারা পরিচালিত হয়। সফলভাবে উত্তীর্ণ এবং টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিংয়ে শুধুমাত্র ডিপ্লোমা প্রাপ্ত শিক্ষার্থীরা ভর্তির জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবেন। সাধারণত বছরে একবার জুনে ভর্তি নেয়া হয়। বিটেকে ১২০ টি আসন রয়েছে। বিটেক ভর্তি পরীক্ষা অত্যন্ত প্রতিযোগিতামূলক।

Career Prospects: টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের প্রযুক্তিগত জ্ঞান এবং দক্ষতা টেক্সটাইল উৎপাদনকারী Industries দের কাছে মূল্যবান। টেক্সটাইল স্নাতকদের বেশিরভাগই process or plant managers, development engineers or technologists হিসাবে পদ গ্রহণ করেন। সাম্প্রতিক স্নাতকগণ উৎপাদন ব্যবস্থাপনা, নকশা, টেক্সটাইল টেস্টিং এবং গুণগত মান, নতুন পণ্য বিকাশ, ক্রয়, বাণিজ্যিক ব্যাংক এবং শুল্কের ক্ষেত্রে কর্মসংস্থান খুঁজে পেয়েছেন। বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশে টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের ভাল চাহিদা রয়েছে।

Hall Facility: এখানে 3 টি আবাসিক হল রয়েছে। ছেলেদের জন্য দুটি হল এবং মহিলাদের জন্য একটি হল।

Facilities:
Yarn Manufacturing Laboratory-> এই পরীক্ষাগারে সুতা প্রস্তুত প্রযুক্তি সম্পর্কিত ব্যবহারিক জ্ঞান সরবরাহ করা হয়। short staple (cotton) and long staple (jute). পরীক্ষাগারকে conventional and modern machinery with the technology of open-end spinning and air jet spinning ইত্যাদি আরও পরিপূর্ণ করেছে।

Weaving Laboratory-> এই পরীক্ষাগারে তুলা, সিনথেটিক এবং পাট দিয়ে ট্যাপেট, ডবি এবং জ্যাকার্ড সহ বুননের সুবিধা রয়েছে। এছাড়া hand operated looms, ordinary power looms, automatic power looms and modern looms with CAD systems. Modern looms include air-jet looms, rapier looms with electronic jacquard and projectile looms ও আছে।

Knitting Laboratory-> এই পরীক্ষাগারটি উভয় warp and weft knitting machinery দিয়ে সজ্জিত। The warp knitting machinery includes both the raschel and tricot machines, and the weft knitting machine include circular (single jersey, interlock, rib, jacquard) and flat knitting machines. Wet Processing Laboratory-> এই পরীক্ষাগারে সিনজিং, ডিজাইজিং, মার্সেরাইজিং, ডাইং, প্রিন্টিং এবং ফিনিশিং এর জন্য যন্ত্রপাতি রয়েছে এবং শিক্ষার্থীরা wet প্রসেসিং প্রযুক্তির একটি সম্পূর্ণ জ্ঞান অর্জন করতে সক্ষম হয়। এটিতে ফাইবার, সুতা এবং ফেব্রিক এবং বিভিন্ন স্টাইলের printing colour উপাদান রয়েছে। এতে কম্পিউটারাইজড ডেটা কালার সিস্টেম, গ্যাস ক্রোমাটোগ্রাফি এবং mass স্পেকট্রোমিটার, light fastness এবং প্রয়োজনীয় অন্যান্য মান নিয়ন্ত্রণ সরঞ্জাম রয়েছে। Wet প্রক্রিয়াকরণ পরীক্ষাগারটি সম্প্রতি প্রসারিত হয়েছে। ডাইং বিল্ডিং নামে একটি নতুন বিল্ডিং সম্প্রতি সম্পন্ন হয়েছে, সেখানে অতি সাম্প্রতিক ও আধুনিক মেশিন স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।

Garments Laboratory-> গার্মেন্টস ল্যাবরেটরিটি পোশাক শিল্পে ব্যবহৃত সমস্ত ধরণের কাটিং, সেলাই এবং ফিনিশিং যন্ত্রপাতি দিয়ে সজ্জিত। It is also equipped with Lectra CAD-CAM system for computerised marker making, cutting and garments dyeing, washing and embroidery. Testing Laboratory-> টেস্টিং পরীক্ষাগারে ফাইবার, সুতা এবং ফেব্রিক পরীক্ষার সুবিধা রয়েছে। The conventional and modern testing equipment includes an evenness tester, Classimat, single yarn strength tester, multifunctional Superba tester, HFT and electronic microscope. Computer Laboratory-> একটি সম্পূর্ণ সজ্জিত কম্পিউটার পরীক্ষাগার। একবারে চল্লিশ জন শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য ব্যবহারিক সুযোগ সরবরাহ করে। শিক্ষক এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য ইন্টারনেটের/WiFi সুবিধা আছে।

Electrical laboratory: এই পরীক্ষাগারটি শিক্ষার্থীদের বৈদ্যুতিন এবং বৈদ্যুতিক প্রযুক্তির সাথে পরিচিত হওয়ার সুযোগ দেয়। It is equipped with pneumatic and electro-pneumatic control systems. Physics Laboratory-> পদার্থ বিজ্ঞানের পরীক্ষাগার স্নাতক শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য উপযুক্ত যন্ত্রপাতি ও সরঞ্জাম দিয়ে সজ্জিত।

Chemistry Laboratory-> রসায়ন পরীক্ষাগার ব্যবহারিক কাজ করার জন্য এই রসায়ন পরীক্ষাগারটি চল্লিশ জন শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য উপযুক্ত।

Engineering Workshop-> The engineering workshop is equipped with lathes, universal strength testers, shaping machines, cutting machines, drilling machines, welding machines, circular saws and various types of tools for carpenters.

Congratulations to the proud graduates of the 10th Batch of Tangail Textile Engineering College on attending the historic 1st Convocation of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) today!
It was truly a memorable and inspiring day as you joined hundreds of fellow textile graduates on this momentous occasion. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, the esteemed education advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar. In his thoughtful address, he began by paying heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War and the 2024 Mass Uprising, reminding us all of the sacrifices that have shaped our nation’s journey toward freedom and justice.

He then eloquently highlighted the immense contribution of the textile sector to Bangladesh’s economy and emphasized the critical importance of specialized institutions like BUTEX in driving innovation, skill development, and sustainable growth in this vital industry. Today, we had the opportunity to attend an insightful session at the Tangail Textile Engineering College Auditorium titled “Generating Ideas & Conducting Research: A Practical Approach.”

The keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbubul Bashar, delivered an excellent presentation on how to develop impactful research ideas, understand journal systems, navigate peer review, and write a well-structured thesis. His explanations on research gaps, literature review, abstract writing, and scientific communication were incredibly helpful for young researchers like us.

The program was presided over by Engr. Md. Salim Reza, Principal of Tangail Textile Engineering College.

A special thanks to the TTEC Research Club for organizing such a valuable and motivating event.
It was truly an inspiring session that broadened our understanding of research and academic writing.

📢 Free Medical Camp Organized by the Bangladesh Army........

Today marked a truly inspiring humanitarian initiative led by the Bangladesh Army, a day-long Free Medical Camp held with the aim of standing beside the people and serving those in need with care, dignity, and professionalism.

📍 Venue: Tangail Textile Engineering College, Kalihati, Tangail.

A team of highly skilled army doctors provided specialist medical services, including:

1️⃣ Internal Medicine
2️⃣ General Surgery
3️⃣ Pediatrics
4️⃣ Dermatology
5️⃣ Ophthalmology
6️⃣ Gynecology

All consultations and prescribed medicines were provided completely free of charge.
This generous initiative allowed men, women, and children of all ages to access much needed healthcare services, many of whom would otherwise struggle to afford them.

A Remarkable Experience as a Volunteer!

I feel truly honored to have participated in this event as a volunteer. It was a rewarding and eye opening experience, where I not only had the chance to assist in supporting the sick but also gained valuable insights into human resource management, coordination, and teamwork under real life conditions.

Working closely with the Bangladesh Army deepened my admiration and respect for them. Their discipline, empathy, and unwavering commitment to the people are genuinely inspiring. This experience reinforced my long standing passion and heartfelt appreciation for the army and the work they do for our nation.

Bangladesh Army ~ Always by the side of the people.

May such initiatives continue to bring hope and healing to communities across the country. I look forward to more opportunities to contribute to such noble causes. 🇧🇩

মার্চেন্ডাইজিং ক্যারিয়ারটা মেয়েদের জন্য কতটুকু সুবিধাজনক বা অসুবিধাজনক হতে পরে ? মেয়েরা কি এই গার্মেন্ট টেক্সটাইল সেক্টরে নিজেদের জন্য যথাযোগ্য জায়গা করে নিতে পারে ? যেহেতু মেয়েদের জন্য টেক্সটাইল সম্পর্কে অনেকে অনেক নেগেটিভ মন্তব্য করে থাকে, তাই বিষয়টি সম্পর্কে আমার কাছে অনেক মেয়ে টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের ছাত্রীরা জানতে আগ্রহী । সেই উদ্দেশ্যে লেখা আমার ক্ষুদ্র জ্ঞান ও বাস্তবতা অভিজ্ঞতা দিয়ে বুঝানোর চেষ্টা করলাম ভুল ত্রুটি ক্ষমা করবেন এবং আমি নিশ্চিত এই লেখার মাধ্যমে অনেক কিছু ক্লিয়ার হয়ে যাবেন মতামত শেয়ার করবেন ।

🌸 টেক্সটাইল ও গার্মেন্টস সেক্টরে নারীদের সম্ভাবনা:

টেক্সটাইল ও গার্মেন্টস শিল্প আমাদের দেশের অর্থনীতির প্রাণ। এই শিল্পে নারীদের অবদান শুধু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নয়, বরং অনন্য।
রুট লেভেল থেকে শুরু করে টপ ম্যানেজমেন্ট পর্যন্ত—নারীদের শ্রম, মেধা ও দক্ষতার ছোঁয়া রয়েছে বাংলাদেশের প্রায় ৮০% রপ্তানি আয়ের প্রতিটি স্তরে।

📌 ইতিহাস বলছে, ১৯৭৭ সালেই এই সেক্টরে দেশের প্রথম নারী কর্মচারী কাজ শুরু করেন। আজ হাজারো মেয়ে এই শিল্পে নিজেদের অবস্থান তৈরি করেছে—কারও হাত ধরে এসেছে পরিবর্তন, কেউ আবার হয়ে উঠেছে অনুপ্রেরণা।

আমার অভিজ্ঞতায় আমি নিজ চোখে দেখেছি:
কোয়ালিটি কন্ট্রোল, মার্চেন্ডাইজিং, প্রোডাকশন, কর্পোরেট হাউজ, বিজনেস ডেভেলপমেন্ট—প্রতিটি জায়গায় মেয়েরা আজ নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছে, দক্ষতার সঙ্গে।

✅ নারীরা ভালো করছে—এবং আরও ভালো করবে—যেসব বিভাগে:

নারীদের ধৈর্য, বিশ্লেষণ ক্ষমতা, গুছিয়ে কাজ করার দক্ষতা এবং সুন্দর যোগাযোগ—এই গুণগুলো বিশেষ করে নিচের বিভাগগুলোতে তাদের অগ্রগামী করছে:

4. 🔬 Testing & Lab

📊 তথ্য ও বাস্তবতা:

বাংলাদেশে বর্তমানে ৪৫টিরও বেশি টেক্সটাইল ও গার্মেন্টস বিষয়ক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও ইনস্টিটিউট রয়েছে, যেখানে প্রতি বছর গড়ে ১৫০০–২০০০ ছাত্রী ভর্তি হচ্ছে।
বর্তমানে মেয়েদের উপস্থিতি মোট শিক্ষার্থীর ৩০%-৪০%, যা আগের তুলনায় উল্লেখযোগ্য বৃদ্ধি।

এটাই প্রমাণ করে—টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এখন আর কেবল ছেলেদের জন্য নয়, বরং মেয়েদের জন্যও একটি সম্ভাবনাময় ক্যারিয়ার পথ।

মেয়েদের কীভাবে প্রস্তুতি নেওয়া উচিত:

১. 📚 বেসিক টেক্সটাইল জ্ঞান বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবনেই পাকা করে ফেলতে হবে।
২. 💻 ডেস্ক ম্যানেজমেন্ট স্কিল—MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint ভালোভাবে জানতে হবে।
3. 🗣️ যোগাযোগ দক্ষতা (Communication)
4. 🤝 Negotiation ও Emotional Intelligence সহ People Skill
5. 🧪 Textile-related সফটওয়্যার (ERP, CAD, PLM ইত্যাদি)
6. 🌐 ইংরেজি ছাড়াও সম্ভব হলে অন্য ভাষার দক্ষতা

🌿 Environmental Science থেকে আসা মেয়েদের জন্য দারুণ সুযোগ:

বর্তমানে পরিবেশবান্ধব উৎপাদনের দিকে ধাবিত হওয়ায় Environmental Science, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering ইত্যাদি বিষয় থেকে আসা মেয়েদের জন্য তৈরি হচ্ছে নতুন সুযোগ:

2. Sustainability Officer

3. Green Factory Audit

4. ZDHC & Compliance

5. CSR & Environmental Reporting

বিশেষ করে LEED Certified Green Factory গুলোতে মেয়েরা এখন পরিবেশ সচেতন নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছেন।

🌟 আজকের মেয়েরা, আগামী দিনের লিডার:

নতুন গ্র্যাজুয়েটরা সাহসিকতার সঙ্গে ফ্রন্টলাইনে আসছেন। অনেকে এখন Buying House, Liaison Office কিংবা আন্তর্জাতিক ব্র্যান্ডে কাজ করছেন। আমি দৃঢ়ভাবে বিশ্বাস করি—আগামী ১০ বছরে টেক্সটাইল ও গার্মেন্টস সেক্টরের নেতৃত্বে মেয়েরাই থাকবে।

BRAC University-এর মতো অনেক প্রতিষ্ঠান PGD ও স্পেশাল স্কলারশিপ প্রোগ্রামে নারীদের অগ্রাধিকার দিচ্ছে। অনেক কারখানা চাকরির বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে “নারীদের অগ্রাধিকার” উল্লেখ করছে।
পরিবর্তন আসছে—আলহামদুলিল্লাহ।

💬 একটি কথা মনে রাখা দরকার:

> ❝ ইন্ডাস্ট্রি কখনোই আপনাকে অভিনন্দন জানিয়ে জায়গা করে দেবে না।
আপনাকে নিজেই নিজের জায়গা তৈরি করে নিতে হবে—আপনার দক্ষতা, মনোযোগ ও কর্মনিষ্ঠার মাধ্যমে। ❞

সৃষ্টিকর্তা নারীদের যে সহিষ্ণুতা, আন্তরিকতা, বিশ্লেষণক্ষমতা দিয়েছেন—সেগুলোই আপনাদের মূল শক্তি।

🏡 পারিবারিক সাপোর্টের গুরুত্ব:

অনেক সম্ভাবনাময়ী মেয়ে পারিবারিক বাধার কারণে থেমে যায়। তাই পরিবারকেও এগিয়ে আসতে হবে—মেয়েদের স্বপ্নকে সম্মান জানাতে হবে, সুযোগ দিতে হবে।

🌺 শেষ কথা:

> ❝ পৃথিবীর যত কষ্টের কাজ আছে, নারীরা তা হাসিমুখে করতে পারে। ❞

আপনাদের সম্ভাবনা সীমাহীন।
সাহস নিয়ে এগিয়ে যান, চেষ্টা চালিয়ে যান। মনে রাখবেন—আপনি একা নন।
আমরা যারা আগে পথ তৈরি করেছি, আমরা আছি আপনাদের পাশে, আপনাদের জন্য।

We had the valuable opportunity to visit Sadia Textile Ltd, Mirzapur, Tangail. as part of our academic~industrial learning experience.

This experience bridged the gap between theory and practical. During the visit, we explored the core operational divisions of the facility.

This visit provided us with practical exposure to the workflow of a leading textile manufacturing unit and deepened our understanding of industrial practices, technological integration, and sustainability measures in the textile sector.

We express our sincere gratitude to the management and staff of Sadia Textile Ltd. for their warm hospitality, guidance, and support throughout the visit.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our honourable Principal Sir and all the respected academic faculty members of Tangail Textile Engineering College for their continuous support, guidance, and encouragement throughout our academic journey.

Their dedication and efforts have been instrumental in making opportunities like the industrial visit to Sadia Textile Ltd. possible. Such experiences not only enhance our practical understanding but also inspire us to strive for excellence in our professional careers.

We are proud students of Batch-13 (Level-04, Term-01), from Tangail Textile Engineering College. Currently in our final year, a critical phase that marks the transition from academic life to professional practice.
