Department of Mechanical Engineering, MBSTU successfully arranged the orientation program for the students of 2025-26 session. VC of MBSTU Prof. Dr. ABM Shahidul Islam was present at the program as the chief guest. Dean of the faculty of Engineering, Registrar (acting), Proctor and the Director of the Students Councelling Centre, MBSTU were also attend the program. The program was chaired by the Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Prof. Dr. Md. Iqbal Mahmud.

Hon'ble VC of MBSTU and Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering made a courtesy visit to UGC and meet with the hon'ble Chairman of the UGC. Visitors from South Korea lead by Prof. Dr. Haeng Muk Cho, the PI of the ODA project with the Mechanical Engineering Department were present during the visit.
