Department of Civil Engineering, ADUST is proudly announcing the inauguration of a prestigious field research and investigation campaign under the project of "Sustaining and Scaling the iArsenic Platform for Impact Delivery" in collaboration with the University of Portsmouth, UK. Dr Zaber Ahmed, Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering will lead this collaborative project on behalf of the Department.This achievement is eventually the indication of the continuous growth of this department through unwaivering support by its esteem faculty members as well as students.
Arsenic contamination in groud water related this research will carry utmost importance in country’s presesent socio-economic perspective.

Alhamdulillah! Mr Abdul Kayum Sarder, Registrar, ADUST and Dr Zaber Ahmed, Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of Civil Engineering, ADUST have represented Atish Dipankar University of Science & Technology-ADUST in the prestigious "Networking Session Between Bangladeshi and Malaysian Universities" organised by University Grants Commission, Bangladesh at UGC Building.
Honourable High Commissioner of Malaysia, Chief Executive Officer, EMGS, Director, AKEPT from Malaysia, Delegates from Malaysian Universities, Chairman and respective members of UGC, Director, UGC along with Vice Chancellors, distinguished faculty members from about 50 public and private universities have attended this highly engaging events.
Malaysian delegates became very happy hearing that Department of Civil Engineering, ADUST has already signed MoU with School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia for research and academic collaboration.

প্রিয় Atish Dipankar University of Science & Technology-ADUST ক্যাম্পাসে প্রায় ৪ হাজার ৮০০ বর্গফুটের উপর নির্মিত হচ্ছে বিশাল ভবন। এই ভবনের নিচ তলায় থাকবে বিভিন্ন ডিপার্টমেন্টের বিশেষায়িত ল্যাবরেটরি এবং ক্লাসরুম। আর দ্বিতীয় তলায় হবে Ministry of ICT এর প্রকল্পের আওতায় অত্যাধুনিক Innovation Hub। অতীশ দীপঙ্কর বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আরও ১৪ টি পাবলিক ও প্রাইভেট স্বনামধন্য বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাথে এই প্রকল্পের জন্য নির্বাচিত হয়েছে।
Innovation Hub এ Department of Civil Engineering, ADUST এর জন্য বিশেষায়িত GIS and Remote Sensing Lab ও Department of Robotics and Automation এর জন্য হবে অত্যাধুনিক রোবোটিক্স ল্যাব। এছাড়াও সেখানে থাকবে EEE ও CSE ডিপার্টমেন্টের ল্যাব, রিসার্চ সেন্টার, আইডিয়া হাব, গেমিং জোন এবং ট্রেনিং সেন্টার সহ আরো বেশ কিছু আকর্ষণীয় বিষয়।
Innovation Hub এর লক্ষ্য হলো শুধু এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় নয় বরং আশপাশের অন্যান্য বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং কলেজের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদেরকে বিষয় ভিত্তিক ট্রেনিং প্রদানের মাধ্যমে তাদের দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি করা এবং উদ্ভাবনী চিন্তার উদ্যোক্তা হিসেবে গড়ে তুলতে ভূমিকা রাখা, যার মাধ্যমে অতীশ দীপঙ্কর বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হয়ে উঠবে একটি সত্যিকারের Knowlwdge and Intelligence Centre.

ঈদের বন্ধের মধ্যেও দ্রুতগতিতে এগিয়ে চলছে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এই ভবনের নির্মাণ কাজ, সাইট ভিজিট ও সুপারভিশন এবং গ্রুপ ডিসকাশন।

The Department of Civil Engineering celebrated a major academic milestone as the 3rd Batch successfully defended their research in Structural, Transportation, and Environmental Engineering.

The event was honored by Prof. Dr. Md. Zahangir Alam, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, and Md. Quamruzzaman Litu, Member Secretary of the Board of Trustees. The evaluation was conducted by Dr. Zaber Ahmed, Chairman of the Project Evaluation Committee, alongside External Examiner Md. Zakir Hasan, PhD (Associate Professor, DUET), and the respective thesis supervisors who guided the research.

The Department of Civil Engineering congratulates the students of the 3rd Batch on this achievement and wishes them success in their future professional endeavors.

📢 **Knowledge Sharing Session | Civil Engineering, ADUST**

Md. Moazzem Hossain, a final year student from the Department of Civil Engineering at ADUST successfully delivered a presentation, & shared his valuable insights with students from different semesters of the department.

The presentation focused on **“Ferro-Scan for Reinforcement Detection & Structural Assessment.”** It highlighted how modern non-destructive testing techniques can be used to locate reinforcement bars within concrete and evaluate structural conditions without damaging the structure.

The session was highly informative and engaging, providing junior students with practical knowledge about advanced assessment tools used in real-world civil engineering practice. Such initiatives help bridge the gap between academic learning and professional applications.

👏 Appreciation to the presenter for sharing his knowledge and inspiring fellow students to explore innovative technologies in structural assessment.

Civil Research and Innovation Society, Department of Civil Engineering, Atish Dipankar University of Science & Technology-ADUST has arranged Iftar and Dua Mahfil' 2026 on Friday 27 February. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Zahangir Alam Sir graced the event as chief guest while Dr Engr Zaber Ahmad was the chair. Engr Md Ibrahim Islam Ifty, Md Emtiaz Kabir along with other faculty members of the department, executives, and more than 80 students were also present in the event to make it successful. Mr Hasibur Rahman coducted dua focusing on the peace and welfare of the country as well as nation.
