📹 The student AV Team plays a vital role in bringing FilmEU to life, especially during our annual summits.

👁️ When not documenting the programme at this year’s summit in Brussels, the team turned the camera on themselves, creating a vlog that gives us a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their camaraderie and experience in the Belgian capital.

🇧🇪 Taking place in Brussels in June, this year's summit consisted of four days of collaborative meetings, discussions, and exciting activities bringing the FilmEU community together.

Under the theme, 'Enact Change – Weaving the A(rts) into STEM', the 2026 summit explored how the arts can enrich STEM education by bringing creativity, storytelling, and imagination into dialogue with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

📽️ Excitement is building here in Brussels as we gear up for the second annual FilmEU Film Festival!

Running from June 23-25, the FilmEU Film Festival is a showcase of some of Europe's best young filmmakers, highlighting the diversity and array of talent found across the FilmEU Alliance.

The festival takes place at the .schoolofarts Brussels campuses as well as Cinema Nova in the city centre.

🎟️ Admission for the three screenings is free but registration is required!

🗣️ We are proud to announce that a new season of the FilmEU Podcast is now live!

🇺🇦 This special edition series has been created in collaboration with Sumy State University (Сумський державний університет) in Sumy, Ukraine.

Located only 30km form the north-eastern border with Russia, the Sumy campus is at constant threat of shelling and is bombed on an almost daily basis.

Through a collection of conversations between students, educators, and researchers across the FilmEU Alliance, this series offers a powerful insight into life, learning, and resilience in a region living under the constant reality of war.

🎞️ As we wrap up the 2025/26 academic year here in Dublin, Sofia, Lisbon, and Brussels, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all students who participated in the inaugural year of Pathfinder, the first ever Joint International BA in Film!

The momentous level of work required to develop, organise and run such a landmark programme would have been fruitless without the enthusiasm and engagement of the first cohort of students.

🏫 We now look forward to welcoming a new intake of Pathfinders as well as our second-year class to campuses all over Europe in September!

☀️ In the meantime, we hope you have a happy and safe summer.
