BBV Studio Still - Illustration Studio Studio Still is part of BBV - Bachelor Beeldende Vormgeving - Bachelor Visual Design, LUCA School of Arts, Campus Sint-Lucas Ghent

In the Still Studio students are taught illustration. They explore different drawing techniques and styles for various target audiences and media. Illustration can play an autonomous role as well as an auxiliary role in the wider field of visual communication. The students practice pre-visualisation and storyboard techniques for graphic and photographic applications in advertising, film or video.

The courses also focus on concept art in comics, animation and games. Students develop figure logos and brand characters as well as using their designs in derivative media, designer toys and package design. The students learn to visualise complex information with simple infographics at the crossroads of graphic and illustrative design. drawing / briefing / character design / storyboarding / roughing
