🎉 Advancing the Serala Entrepreneurship College Strategic Mission 🇧🇼🇺🇸

SEC is proud to be part of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) focused on University Strategic Partnerships.

This opportunity supports our strategic efforts to strengthen educational excellence, expand international collaboration, and build meaningful partnerships that create new opportunities for our students, staff, and wider community.

Through engagement with U.S. institutions, SEC will gain valuable insights into innovative educational practices, institutional development, entrepreneurship education, and sustainable partnership models. These engagements will contribute to our continued growth as a forward-looking institution committed to preparing learners for a changing global economy.

As we connect with institutions and partners across borders, we remain focused on advancing collaboration between Botswana and the United States and positioning Serala Entrepreneurship College as a hub for skills and mindset development, and transformative education.

🥳Congratulations to Veronica Mphathi, CEO of Serala Entrepreneurship College, on her selection for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) focused on University Strategic Partnerships!

During the program, Veronica will engage with U.S. institutions and explore innovative approaches to strengthening educational practices and institutional partnerships between Botswana and the United States.

Serala Entrepreneurship College was honoured to provide strategic facilitation support to the SADC Management Team during its 2027/28 Annual Corporate Planning Retreat in Mahalapye.

The engagement brought together strategic reflection, prioritisation, ex*****on planning, performance management and change management to help translate regional priorities into a more focused and coherent ex*****on agenda.

For SEC, engagements of this nature reflect our commitment to taking practice-based strategy, leadership and ex*****on expertise into institutions where the quality of ex*****on has a direct bearing on meaningful outcomes.

We sincerely thank His Excellency Mr Elias M. Magosi, Executive Secretary of SADC, and the entire SADC Management Team for the confidence placed in SEC and for the opportunity to contribute to this important regional planning process.

We look forward to seeing the priorities emerging from the Retreat translated into meaningful results for the SADC region.

There is something beautiful that happens when people are given permission to think.

Our recent Training & Team Building Retreat with the amazing Precision VAT team reminded us of this once again.

We challenged the team to look at the everyday challenges they face in the business and asked one simple question: "What can WE do about it?"

The ideas came pouring in!

No big budgets. No consultants. Just practical, resourceful solutions from the very people who deal with those challenges every day.

Over the past year, we have discovered that teams do not lack ideas; they often just lack the space and encouragement to think together.

At SEC, we don't believe entrepreneurship is only for business owners. We believe everyone in an organisation can think like an entrepreneur: spotting opportunities, solving problems, creating value, and taking action.

That is why our trainings and team-building retreats are rarely just that. They become powerful Think Tank experiences, where teams leave not only more connected, but equipped with solutions they created themselves.

If your team needs fresh energy, fresh thinking, and practical solutions to real business challenges, we'd love to host you.

Sometimes, the breakthrough your business needs is already sitting in the room.

We extended our work with the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) to the Francistown team, engaging the Northern Branch in our Mental Paradigm Development short course. It was time for defenders of International Quality Standards to introspect, and they outdid themselves!

Delivered through immersive block sessions, this was not passive learning. It was active, real-time transformation.

We worked directly with the team’s lived experiences i.e. using both personal and shared case studies to challenge existing mental paradigms, question entrenched ways of working, and redefine how value is created within their regulatory environment.

This approach allowed the learning to land where it matters most: in the reality of their day-to-day decisions, interactions, and responsibilities.

Alongside the depth of reflection and unlearning, we intentionally created space for connection and energy; integrating team-building activities that allowed the team to engage, reset, and strengthen cohesion in between the intensive sessions.

Because transformation is not only about thinking differently, it is also about building teams that trust, collaborate, and perform together.

At SEC, we design experiences that go beyond knowledge transfer; enabling teams to confront how they think, how they operate, and ultimately, how they deliver.

Once again, thanks team BOBS-Ghetto!

If your organisation is ready to challenge the status quo and unlock a new level of performance, let us partner.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the Northern Fixtures and Copiers Botswana teams through our Strategy Ex*****on for Intrapreneurs programme.

What stood out most was the depth of engagement.

Participants leaned fully into the learning experience; demonstrating thoughtful reflection, honest interrogation of their day-to-day realities, and a strong commitment to applying the insights directly to their roles. This is where real value is created: when learning translates into action.

We also recognise the role of our facilitators, who ensured that the programme was carefully tailored to the industry, pitched at the right level for every participant, and grounded in practical application. The focus was not just on understanding strategy, but on executing it within the real constraints and opportunities of the business.

Because relevance matters.

Our Strategy Ex*****on for Intrapreneurs short course is designed for professionals who are already in the workplace and want to master the discipline of executing strategic prioritie, consistently and effectively.

In today’s demanding economic environment, this is what sets individuals apart. The ability to move from plans to results is no longer optional, it is essential.

To the Northern Fixtures and Copiers Botswana team, thank you for trusting us with your development journey.

If you are looking to build a team that delivers where it matters most, let’s partner.

We recently partnered with the Blue World Botswana team - a fast-growing supplier and distributor of petroleum products including diesel & lubricants, as they expand operations and open new depots.

Growth at this pace is exciting, but it also stretches systems, leadership, and ex*****on capacity.

Through our Strategy Ex*****on for Intrapreneurs programme, the team engaged in focused strategic reflection, tackled real operational realities, and worked through high-impact challenges designed to strengthen alignment and ex*****on across an expanding footprint.

A key focus? Building teams that can solve problems without defaulting to “we need more resources.”
Because in today’s environment, the organisations that win are those that maximise what they already have; thinking creatively, acting resourcefully, and executing with discipline.

Scaling a business is not just about opportunity, it is about the ability to deliver, consistently, even under constraint.

At SEC, we support ambitious organisations to build teams that can think commercially, act decisively, and execute with precision...even as the ground shifts.

If your organisation is growing and needs a team that can keep up with the pace... and deliver... let us partner.

We had the honour of working with the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS), specifically the Regulatory Compliance teams within the Trade Metrology Unit and the Compulsory Standards Unit at the Gaborone Head Office.

Through our Mental Paradigm Development short course, delivered in 6-day block releases for each cohort, the engagement went far beyond conventional training.

This was a space for deep reflection.
For unlearning.
For challenging both internal paradigms and the external status quo shaping how teams think, decide, and serve.

Together, we re-examined what service excellence truly means, especially within a regulatory environment serving a diverse and evolving client base.

What stood out most was the shift.

Participant testimonials consistently reflected that this was not just a programme, but a period of real, and often unexpected, transformation; in mindset, in ownership, and in how individuals see their role in delivering impact.

To sustain this shift, SEC extended one-on-one coaching support to participants, reinforcing that transformation is not an event, but a continuous journey.

These teams will not remain the same.

At SEC, we work with institutions that are ready to go beyond skills development; to reshape thinking, strengthen accountability, and elevate performance where it matters most.

A huge thank you again BOBS for trusting us in the development of your teams!

If your organisation is ready for this level of transformation, let’s partner.

We had the honour of sponsoring the Rhapsody Tournament Crusade held in Selebi-Phikwe over the weekend of the 7th of March, in partnership with the Haven Unit of Christ Embassy.

This was more than a tournament.

It was a powerful gathering where sport met purpose, where players and their supporters came together not only to compete, but to pray, receive the Word of God, and lift their voices in praise and worship.

For many who enjoy football but may not always find themselves in traditional church settings, this initiative beautifully brought the church to the people, creating a space where faith could be experienced in a deeply personal and accessible way.

We were truly grateful to be part of this.

Four teams and their supporters joined the crusade:
• Dikanono Social Club (Lerala)
• Maunatlala Social Club (Maunatlala)
• Selebi-Phikwe Soccer Legends (Ma-14)
• Botshabelo Police Social Club (Phikwe)

Together, we distributed 115 copies of Rhapsody of Realities (including 44 Setswana copies) and 131 copies of the Healing to the Nations magazine.

We are deeply convicted, together with the Church, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to transform lives in ways no human effort can.

Witnessing lives touched and souls receiving Christ on the day made this experience profoundly meaningful.

We would gladly support such God-centred outreaches again.

Thank you to Christ Embassy for organising this impactful initiative, and to Selebi-Phikwe Soccer Legends for hosting us so graciously alongside the church. May the Lord richly bless you.

And congratulations to all the teams and their supporters, your participation made this truly special.
