Clubs & Societies Highlights Features: Pre Vet Society

The Pre-Veterinary and Animal Welfare Society is a community for students who share a passion for animal welfare and veterinary science. Our society is committed to providing a supportive and collaborative environment for all members. We host workshops, lectures, field trips, and hands-on experiences that allow members to gain practical knowledge in the field of veterinary medicine. We are dedicated to promoting animal welfare and empowering pre-veterinary students to achieve their full potential. Our goal is to develop leaders in the field of veterinary medicine and inspire animal advocates.

Clubs & society Highlight features : UPEI Ultimate

Ultimate Frisbee is a fast-paced, mixed-gender sport played by passing a disc across the field into the opposing team’s end zone. The game is guided by the Spirit of the Game, placing fair play and sportsmanship at the heart of the sport. The UPEI Ultimate Team was established in 2022 by UPEI Engineering students and has since grown to become an inclusive, competitive sport that engages over 35 committed UPEI and Holland College students. Our coaches lead 1-2 weekly practices year-round that take place both outdoors and indoors. Our team represents UPEI at 6-8 tournaments across Atlantic Canada throughout the year!

Clubs & Societies Highlight : UPEI Sports Industry Society

The UPEI Sports Industry Society also known as UPEI SIS is a student-led group driven by passion for sport, leadership, and community impact. While the executive team is primarily varsity athletes, all students are welcome to get involved, whether through leadership roles or events.

The society connects students through: • Sport-focused events • Professional development opportunities • Community partnerships

Upcoming events include: • Après-ski night • Pickleball tournament • Mentorship program

What sets them apart? Every event supports charity. Over the past four years, they have raised nearly $10,000 for the PEI community.
