The I-STEAM Pathways team were delighted to welcome the Summer 2026 cohort of Indigenous interns at their official orientation earlier this month.

Thanks to our I-STEAM alumni who helped prepare the interns for a summer of research in the environmental sciences!

This morning we were delighted to welcome this summer's research supervisors to our Supervisor Orientation. We were honored by the presence of Elders Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack, Elsey Gauthier, also Dr. Evelyn Steinhauer who shared her wisdom and deep experience of mentoring Indigenous undergraduate students. A wonderful beginning to this Summer's Indigenous students' internship!
