Join us on March 2nd (from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm) where Dr. Manuel Riemer will be discussing the role of psychology in moving towards a just and inclusive sustainable future! Curious to learn more about our special guest? 💭 🧐

Dr. Riemer is a professor of psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. He is the director of the Viessmann Centre for Engagement and Research in Sustainability (VERiS) and the Community, Environment, and Justice Research Group (CEJRG). Dr. Riemer applies community psychology principles, theories, and tools to address issues related to sustainability, including global climate change mitigation and resiliency, with a special interest in fostering strong cultures of sustainability in organizations and communities, engaging people in environmental action, climate justice, and just sustainable transformations.

Today, from 12-3pm, + will be partnering up outside of University Hall and Gilmore Hall for an in-person strike to call for action through divestment by McMaster University! 👊

If you plan on coming to the protest, and you have not done this already, please notify your professors/instructors/TA’s of your absence in class today prior to the event by sending an email or MSAF. ☺️

Feel free to bring some friends who feel passionately about this issue, and make sure to fill out the email workshop registration; found in the link tree of for COVID-19 tracing and event number count purposes. More info on the third slide.

During the event, Dr. Chow-Fraser will be sharing her research of climate change impacts on wetlands and streams. 🌱 Additionally, a Q&A session will take place toward the end of the event! 👍
