Rotman member and Faculty of Information & Media Studies professor Alissa Centivany is featured in Western University’s Impact Project, where she discusses the growing Right to Repair movement and why consumers should have the ability to repair the products they own. From farm equipment and electronics to household appliances, her research explores how restrictions on access to parts, tools, and repair information can impact consumers, competition, and sustainability, while highlighting the importance of policy change and collective action to protect our right to fix the things we depend on every day.
