A big shoutout, to our awesome Parks Canada archaeologist, Dr. Mallory Moran! None of the work we do at Louisbourg could happen without Mal's commitment to the field school and the long hours she logs on site with us. We are so thankful for her expertise, enthusiasm, and love of all things bioarch!

A huge congratulations to our latest MA graduate, Chris Burgess. Today, he defended his thesis entitled "β€œGround truthing” the graveyard: An archaeological and geophysical examination of 18th century burials and buildings at the Fortress of Louisbourg, Nova Scotia". You did a great job highlighting the importance of geophysical methods in bioarchaeological research and all the future possiblities at Louisbourg. Well done, we are all so proud of you! β€οΈπŸ’€πŸ‘¨πŸΌβ€πŸŽ“πŸŽ‰
