May 5 marks Red Dress Day, honouring the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirited People (MMIWG2S+).

This day recognizes the ongoing national crisis of violence against Indigenous women and communities and calls for collective awareness and action.

At Capilano University, red dresses are displayed across campus as part of the REDress Project, serving as powerful reminders of lives lost and the ongoing impacts of violence.

We encourage the CapU community to learn, reflect and engage with the Calls to Justice, and to consider how each of us can contribute to meaningful change.
