Inuit knowledge photo contest: [email protected]

Inuit knowledge photo contest: inuitknowledgephotocontest@gmail.com Photo contest in Nunavut under the theme "Sharing knowledge of the land". We offer prizes to winners of the contest. One contest per Nunavut region.

We are looking for good pictures took on the land or in the communites to organize an exhibition. We have talked with Inuit people of Nunavut and with researchers from southern University to better understand the situation in northern communities. We are particularly interested in the means that make the tradition and knowledge of people going trough generations, even if some people told us that t

here is lot of tradition lost. There is lot of changes in the environment and way of living in the North, and we wish people to talk about their vision of such changes and the consequences on cultural and traditional knowledge transmission. We think that to create an exhibition event based on pictures from people of the north is a good way to make sure that people will understand the North through the eyes of northeners.
