Bruce D. Campbell Farm & Food Discovery Centre Where does our food come from? Learn about Canadian food production at the Discovery Centre! Canadians are world leaders in food safety and production.

Through fun and informative exhibits, visitors will:

* Sit in the driver's seat of a tractor and explore crop production.
* Experience the life of a bug deep in the root bed of a prairie plant.
* Peek in on a day in the lift of a pig.
* Try on a career in the amazing world of food production.
* Use ultrasound to find out if a pig is pregnant.
* Discover how research is

improving the quality of our food.
* Select their own supermarket food to make up a nutritious balanced meal.
* Learn how to make cheese. We want our visitors to leave us knowing:

* Food comes from agriculture.
* Farmers take care of the land. They also take animal welfare seriously - after all, good care is good business.
* There are interesting careers all along the food production chain.
* Science plays a huge role in the making of our food. The Centre is located at the University of Manitoba’s Glenlea Research Station, approximately 15 km south of Winnipeg.
