Our recent paper delves into the nuances of queuing and processing delays within a UAV-assisted C-V2X communications setting, specifically honing in on the IMT-2030-based UAV-assisted 6G C-V2X communications. We scrutinize the delays across a federated learning setup and a gross data offloading scenario, considering event-triggered cooperative perception messages (CPMs) and periodically transmitted basic safety messages (BSMs). Our analysis prioritizes queuing stability within the defined problem framework.

Can we use an optical fiber as a radiating cable? This may seem infeasible at first sight. However, our experimental study shows otherwise. We measured light leaking from a bent optical fiber transmitter under different conditions. We also derived closed-form formulas to describe the amount of leakage energy and found that this energy exponentially varies with the square of the curvature radius. This allows us to design an Optical Leaky Feeder (OLF) transmission system for the first time. Then, we analytically show that a slotted optical fiber can be used as a MIMO receiver as well. See more details at

Leaky feeders provide seamless and uniform signal coverage in confined spaces like tunnels, mines, and buildings. Their easy scalability and integration with modern systems, like Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), make them ideal for environments requiring reliable and consistent connectivity. H...

The research problem of this systematic review was whether green 6G networks can integrate energy-efficient Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in terms of distributed artificial intelligence, green 6G pervasive edge computing communication networks and big-data-based intelligent decision algorithms. Mobile edge and cloud computing task processing capabilities of decentralized network control and power grid system monitoring were also analyzed. See more for free at

Energy management plays a central role in facilitating the growth of smart and sustainable cities. This article analyzes existing scientific research related to energy in smart cities, identify technological trends, and highlight prospective directions for future studies in this field. The findings suggest that future research should focus on the development of smart energy grids, energy storage, the integration of renewable energy sources, as well as innovative technologies (e.g., Internet of Things, 5G/6G, artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital twins). Furthermore, community engagement and awareness campaigns should form an integral part of promoting sustainable energy practices aligned with broader development objectives.

Energy management in smart cities has gained particular significance in the context of climate change and the evolving geopolitical landscape. It has become a key element of sustainable urban development. In this context, energy management plays a central role in facilitating the growth of smart and...

Latency is big factor in C-V2X communications, especially with autonomous vehicles. In this study, we analyze different types of delay and the factors impacting them in drone-assisted C-V2X networks. We specifically investigate C-V2X Mode 4, where multiple vehicles utilize available transmission windows to communicate the sensor data with an embedded drone server. Through a discrete-time Markov model, we analyze the trade-off between data rates and communication latency.

Drone-assisted radio communication is revolutionizing future wireless networks, including sixth-generation (6G) and beyond, by providing unobstructed, line-of-sight links from air to terrestrial vehicles, enabling robust cellular cehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) communication networks. However, address...
