We’re excited to share a preview of the 2026 CACUSS Conference program, centered on this year’s theme: “Navigating the Future: What’s Next for Student Affairs?”
As the sector continues to evolve, CACUSS 2026 will bring together 1,000+ student affairs professionals from across Canada to reflect on shared challenges, celebrate successes, and explore what’s ahead for the profession.
This year’s program features thoughtful, forward-looking sessions designed to spark dialogue and connection:
Opening Session – Purpose, Hope, and Moving Forward (Tuesday, June 2)
An inspiring panel exploring uncertainty, collective responsibility, and how student affairs professionals are navigating change across institutions. From budget pressures and workforce shifts to resilience in practice, panelists will share lived experiences and practical strategies shaping the next few years in higher education.
Closing Session – What’s Next for Student Affairs? (Thursday, June 4)
A forward-looking conversation bringing together perspectives from AI, international education, and the future of work to examine how broader global shifts are influencing student affairs practice and priorities. This session connects big-picture trends with the day-to-day realities of the profession, offering meaningful insights to carry forward.
Wellness Session (Wednesday, June 3)
A 45-minute guided practice led by Janina Lee Del Rio, blending grounding movement, breathwork, strength, and stillness. Designed to support restoration and balance mid-conference, this accessible session offers participants space to reset and recharge.
We look forward to welcoming delegates for three days of meaningful conversation, reflection, and community as we explore what comes next for our field.
