Jroberts Manufacturing, generously donates their time and expertise to help HPVDT’s high tolerance machining work. They have been a Gold Sponsor of HPVDT for the last several years, supporting our world tandem speed record holding streamliner TITAN and our human powered aircraft Falcon. Their support has allowed us to implement more detailed parts into our designs, allowing us to achieve greater efficiencies and lower overall vehicle weights. Here are some pictures/videos of the cranks, spindles and gearboxes they’ve machined for our team. Thank you, Jroberts Manufacturing, for your continued support!

HPVDT at the World Human Powered Speed Challenge, Battle Mountain, Nevada. After three weeks of emergency repairs following an accident at a previous event, Cyclone and its new hatch made its debut today at 38.7MPH (62kmph).

Eta Prime,a replica of the current record holding speed bike, also made its first attempt at the highway today, but crashed shortly after launch. No injuries or damage occurred.

The team will shift focus from mechanical maintenance to aerodynamic optimization and repair entering the latter half of the week.
