General information

Founded in 1982 under the leadership of Dr. John English, the Waterloo Region Branch of the then Canadian Institute of International Affairs (CIIA) attracted high-level speakers to the community. In close cooperation with the University of Waterloo, the branch maintained an active program until 1995. After a brief hiatus, the branch was re-launched in 2001, and its executive continues to provide its members with high-level, internationally relevant speakers and programmes.
