Last week, we gathered for a catered Thanksgiving lunch from 🌾 Chef Abbey McLeod . When we come together, Community Creates Meaning, and we are grateful for the chance to connect, share a meal, and appreciate the people who make the workplace meaningful.

This Thanksgiving, we’re reflecting on one of our core values that means so much to us: Community Creates Meaning. We’re grateful for the people who make our workplace a community, the colleagues who support one another, the leaders who raise us up, the families that grow alongside us, and the communities we’re proud to call home.

Today, we celebrate the potential, ambition, and possibilities of every girl. At Vidir, we believe that manufacturing is built by people who dream, learn, create, and lead. That’s why we’re proud to support opportunities that encourage girls to explore STEM, develop their skills, and see themselves as the innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders of tomorrow. Let’s keep raising girls, opening doors, and creating opportunities where their potential becomes possibility. When girls are empowered to build their future, they can help build ours.

We are proud to share that Vidir has been recognized and awarded the Welcoming Community Champion – Business Award at the Manitoba Mosaic Awards 2026.

This award is especially meaningful because Vidir was nominated by Olabisi Adebayo, a member of the project management team at Regional Connections Immigrant Services.

At Vidir, we believe that Community Creates Meaning – we are welcoming, we are a team, we are diverse, and we give back. Creating a welcoming workplace means creating a place where people from different backgrounds, experiences, and cultures feel valued and supported to contribute their vast skill set.

We are grateful for the recognition of Vidir’s commitment to building an inclusive, welcoming community, and we’re proud of everyone at Vidir who brings this value to life every day.

Our pickleball event brought everyone together for an evening of great company and a little friendly competition. From exciting matches and well-earned prizes to dinner, drinks, and time spent connecting with one another, it was a wonderful reminder that the event was about more than just a game. It’s about community, and Community Creates Meaning.
