The (First Annual) Landry Cup was a benefit soccer game held at Acadia University on March 25th, 2014.The event committee was lead by Acadia students Kyla Crocker, Steve Hall, Noah Holltet, and Adam Rajab. It was organized to raise funds toward the purchase of nearly indestructible soccer balls from the One World Futbal Project, who sells these balls on a one-for-one basis -- for every ball that i
s purchased, another is sent to a community in need somewhere in the world. The Landry Cup raised $1051 in its first year -- enough to purchase 10 balls for programs at Acadia, in Wolfville, and in surrounding communities (The remaining money was put aside, and will used for following the upcoming event!).
