Casenet

Casenet Case Studies for the Net Generation Situated in the Amazon cloud Casenet.ca offers a software as a service (SaaS). Casenet licences content from third parties.

Casenet.ca is a custom developed commercial software platform created using a Lean Start Up methodology at Acadia University. Incorporated in 2015, Casenet hosts approximately 200 multimedia teaching cases created by Acadia University in ten countries and dozens of industries. Distributed in Canada in the higher education sector by John Wiley & Sons Ltd., these multimedia cases are decision based

and created within the context of an individual working for a specific company in a particular industry. Tagged and transcribed video clip responses of interviewees to specific questions organized in a consistent and deliberate manner become a case. Interviewee insight about a recent issue that he or she encountered and its importance or cause along with information about the interviewee, company and industry forms the content of a case. Instructors have access to suggested solutions which they can use for class discussion as well as the different options to be considered. The task of the student is to provide analysis that addresses or resolves the issue.
