The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education and Chancellor of Academic Orders, Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo visited the University of Bamenda Stand at the 8th edition of the Cameroon Students' Ingenuity and Talents Fair, GETEC in Yaounde.
The Minister was presented with some of the innovations and discoveries of various schools and facilities of the University of Bamenda.

The University of Bamenda is actively taking part in the 8th edition of the Cameroonian Students' Ingenuity and Talents Fair known in its french acronym as GETEC.
The platform provides the opportunity for students to showcase their innovative skills through the display of inventions that are geared towards solving societal's problems.
GETEC falls within the concept of Entrepreneurial University and showcases the examples of junior enterprises led by students.

Curtains Dropped at the Ebolowa University Games

The 25th edition of the All University games and the first edition of the National Finals of the University Games (FINAJU) games ended in Ebolowa with the Siantou University Institute crowned overall champions with a total of 35 medals, 18 gold, 8silver and 9 bronze medals.
The University of Bamenda secured the 12th position out of 23 of the 24 officially qualified from both the public and Private Higher Institutions for the Ebolowa finals.
UBa obtained a total of 17 medals, one in gold, 8 silver and 8bronze.
The University of Bertoua has been chosen to host the second edition of the FINAJU games in 2028.

UBa Wins Gold Medal in Athletics.

The gold medal was gotten in the 10000 metres athletics men while in the 10000metres ladies , UBa got a silver medal at the University games in Ebolowa.
In the meantime, The University of Bamenda fan's club came first in flag hoisting competition and second in civic education.
Judo also produced another silver medal for the University of Bamenda.
Moreso, the female football team won a bronze medal in the third place classification match against the University of Garoua.

UBa Female Football Team Fail to Qualify for Finals at U-Games

The University of Bamenda Female Football squad lost to the host team- Ebolowa, 1 goal to 3 during penalty shootouts. Both teams played a nil-nil game after 90 minutes of play.

In the meantime, UBa won two silver medals in judo.The medals were won in Judo in the less than 63kg by Akem Nora and in the less than 78kg by Funwi Vanessa Chang.

In basketball 3x3 boys, UBa won a bronze medal after defeating Maroua 16pts to 14. Earlier on, the boys lost their semi-finals to The University of Yaounde 1, 14pts to 12.

In Paralympic sports Javelin girls
Afahnue Christabel also took home Bronze while Ayeah Ashbel got a silver medal in 100 T11.

In table tennis both in the male and female categories, UBa is going home with a total of 7 medals. The medal count includes 2 silvers and 5 bronze .

MINESUP Visits UBa Stand at Ebolowa Varsity Games

The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education and Chancellor of Academic Orders, Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo made a brief stop at the exhibition stand of the University of Bamenda at the ongoing National Finals of the University Games, FINAJU in Ebolowa.
Minister Fame Ndongo listened to presentations from the various Focal Points of the 12 schools and faculties on the various programmes offered by UBa.
The University of Bamenda's stand has been attracting numerous visitors at the university games in Ebolowa.

UBa Female Football Team Qualify for Semifinals at FINAJU 2026

The girls picked up qualification for the next round of the tournament at the ongoing National Finals of the University Games (FINAJU) in Ebolowa after edging their counterparts from Garoua 1-nil towards the last minutes of the encounter.

The UBa Girls had defeated them 1-nil during the first encounter at the start of the Ebolowa jamboree.

UBa on a Good Start at the Ebolowa U-Games.

The University of Bamenda athletes are amongst the close to 2000 competing for medals in Olympic and Paralympic disciplines in the new format of the games.
Prior to the National Finals currently going on in Ebolowa, 30 State and Private Higher Institutions (PHEIs), competed in 4 zones, with 24 qualifying for the Ebolowa expedition.

The official ceremony has been launched by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor of Academic Orders, Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo.
On day one of the competition, University of Bamenda football girls defeated their counterparts of Garoua 1-nil.
UBa's emblematic and energetic fan club took part in a "Flag Hoisting competition" wherein they displayed dance steps and skills with messages anchored on drug abuse and national unity.
