河北金融学院 Hebei Finance University Started in 1952. Hebei Finance University grew out of Baoding Banking School which was established in 1952.

It was a trade school founded directly by People’s Bank of China to train specialized personnel for banks. Then it underwent the stage of Hebei Financial School and Hebei Banking School, and upgraded to a junior college named Baoding Financial Junior College in 1984, which was changed to Baoding College of Finance in 1991. In 2000, it was put under the People’s Government of Hebei Province and co-

administered by the central and local governments, with the latter assuming the chief responsibility of supervising its operations. In March, 2007, our university upgraded to undergraduate university and transferred its name to Hebei Finance University; it was the only co-constructive university with distinct financial feature in north and northwest China.
