💻 Log in to the SYSU Orientation Service Website
🔑 Generate and activate your NetID
🔐 Set your NetID password
📱 Verify your mobile number and complete activation

3️⃣ SYSU WeCom
📱 Link your account to Sun Yat-sen University WeCom
⬇️ Download WeCom and bind your account
💬 Log in with your personal WeChat account and authorize login
🏫 Join Sun Yat-sen University
🎓 Select “I am a 2026 New Student”
👥 Join your School/College’s International Freshman Group

Before coming to China, I was filled with anxiety about studying abroad. But my mom told me: "You have to go and find out for yourself, how awesome studying in China can be."

And she was right. The moment I arrived, I was truly amazed — by the cutting-edge technology, the seamless mobile payments, the high-speed trains, and the everyday convenience that makes life feel like it's already in the next century.

Then I stepped onto the campus of Sun Yat-sen University — and I couldn't believe my eyes. The greenery here is even denser than in a park. Every corner is a postcard. The classrooms, the libraries, the peaceful lakes — it's honestly one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen.

And of course — the food. Chinese cuisine has completely won my heart. Every meal is an adventure, and I still haven't tried everything I want to!

None of this would have been possible without Sun Yat-sen University giving me this opportunity. And to China — thank you for giving me an unforgettable youth, a journey I'll carry with me for a lifetime.

To anyone hesitating: just go. You'll never know how amazing it can be until you see it for yourself.

What was it like for young American fencers to compete and connect in China? 🤺🇨🇳🇺🇸

At the 2026 China-US College Fencing Invitational & People-to-People Exchange Camp at Sun Yat-sen University, fencers from leading universities in China and the US came together for two days of competition and cultural exchange.

Beyond the piste, the American athletes also had the chance to meet their Chinese peers, experience campus life at SYSU and make new connections through sport.
