Published Notification of SCUT’s the First-round Recommended Candidates for Chinese Government Scholarship Programs in 2019

Dear Scholarship Applicants,

According to the evaluation held by the SCUT Scholarship Committee, we are glad to nominate the following numbers of excellent applicants out of thousands of applications to be the first-round candidates of Chinese Government Scholarship.

The Nomination List is being published attached with the page. If you’d like to give up the scholarship, please contact us and confirmed it before 2nd June (E-mail: [email protected], Tel: 0086-20-39382002 or 39381048 or 39381029). If you cannot find your name via the Nomination List, we are sorry that you did not pass the first-round assessment and thank you for choosing SCUT. This nomination is not the final list and is subject to the final selection by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the Ministry of Education (MOE), P. R. China. The final winners' list will be published between end June to early July, 2019.

SCUT claims 25 prizes in 2017 Guangdong S&T Awards.The CPC Guangdong Committee and the Guangdong Provincial Government this week announced the 2017 Guangdong Science and Technology Awards (GDSTA). SCUT’s professor Qu Jinping was granted the Prize for Outstanding Contribution, while other 24 research projects of SCUT were commended.

Qu Jinping: a disruptive innovator of polymer processing technology. The CPC Guangdong Committee and the Guangdong Provincial Government last week announced the 2017 Guangdong Science and Technology Awards (GDSTA). SCUT’s professor Qu Jinping was granted the Prize for Outstanding Contribution, while other 24 research projects of SCUT were also commended by the government.

Professor Ni Jun, a prestigious scholar in manufacturing engineering at the University of Michigan (UMich), visited SCUT last week to discuss with its leaders on building the Shien-Ming Wu School of Intelligent Engineering at the Guangzhou International Campus.
