🎻🎼 MUST Music student shines on the European stage 澳科大音樂學院學生作品亮相歐洲舞台

We are thrilled to share that Academy of Music PhD student Wenyu Zhi recently celebrated the successful world premiere of his symphonic work "Ladapà" at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.

Selected for the 2026 Thessaloniki International Arts and Music Summit (THAMS), his piece was conducted by William R. Langley and performed by the prestigious Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra (TSSO), bringing Chinese ethnic culture to a global audience.

We are incredibly proud of his dedication and musical talent. Keep up the amazing work!

澳科大音樂學院博士研究生智文禹的大型管弦樂作品《拉達帕》（Ladapà），近日於希臘塞薩洛尼基音樂廳成功迎來世界首演。

該作品入選2026年塞薩洛尼基國際藝術與音樂峰會（THAMS），並由著名指揮家威廉·R·蘭格利（William R. Langley）執棒、塞薩洛尼基國家交響樂團（TSSO）傾情演繹，將中國本土民族文化帶上了國際學術與藝術舞台。

Sonia Mendes De Assuncao, a graduate of the second cohort of the programme at the Faculty of Medicine, has developed a strong interest in dermatology and aesthetic medicine through her clinical rotations, and aims to obtain medical licenses in Macau and Hong Kong for her future practice.

She shares: “From the first anatomy lab to bedside clinical training, has shaped every step of my journey. Over six years of lectures, clinical clerkships across multiple hospitals and clinics — including a year-long internship at a local hospital — I gradually came to understand the true meaning of medicine. Growing up with a family member in the public eye taught me early on to stay grounded and let my work speak for itself — a lesson I carried through every ward and consultation.

Rotating through internal medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, and more, each department offered a different lens on patient care. I found myself particularly drawn to dermatology and aesthetic medicine, where science and artistry intersect. Looking ahead, I hope to obtain medical licenses in both Macau and Hong Kong, pursue further training in general practice, and eventually specialise in a field that truly resonates with me. I also remain open to overseas opportunities to deepen my knowledge.

I am deeply grateful to the patients who taught me more than any textbook, the residents who refined my clinical skills, and the professors who pushed me to grow even when I felt uncertain. MUST gave me the foundation to become a better listener, a harder worker, and a more compassionate human being. Thank you for every ordinary moment that quietly shaped me.”

#澳科大 #醫學院 內外全科醫學學士課程第二屆畢業生宋宛霖，於臨床實習期間對皮膚科及醫學美容萌生濃厚興趣，立志考取澳門及香港兩地執業資格。

她分享：「從初次踏進解剖實驗室，到病床邊的臨床訓練，科大見證了我每一步的成長。六年課堂研習、穿梭多間醫院及診所的見習，加上在本地醫院為期一年的實習，讓我逐步領略醫學的真諦。由於家人是公眾人物，使我從小學會腳踏實地，以工作證明自己——這份信念一直伴隨我度過每個病房與診症時刻。

我曾輪換內科、外科、兒科、婦產科等不同部門，每個專科皆以獨特視角，讓我更深刻體察病患所需。我尤為鍾情皮膚科與醫學美容，因為這兩者正是科學與藝術的完美交匯。展望未來，我期望考取澳門與香港兩地的醫生執照，先接受全科培訓，並最終專攻一個真正讓我熱愛的領域。我也不排除赴海外進修，以吸收更多知識與經驗。

我由衷感恩每一位病人——他們教會我的，遠超任何教科書所能承載；感謝駐院醫生助我磨練臨床技巧；感謝教授在我迷惘時繼續推動我前行。科大為我奠下堅實根基，使我成為一個更懂得聆聽、更勤奮、更具同理心的人。謹此感謝每一個看似平常、卻在無聲中塑造我的時刻。」

Charlene Wu Xia, a graduate of the Bachelor of Laws program at the Faculty of Law, has received offers from world-renowned institutions including the University of Cambridge, The London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE, The University of Hong Kong, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong 香港中文大學 - CUHK. She has also been awarded the "Dr. Liu Chak Wan Scholarship" established by the University.

She shares: "I am deeply grateful to for providing me with such an excellent platform. During my undergraduate studies, I received multiple scholarships and took part in national moot court competitions, where I won awards and gained invaluable experience. Chen Kexin, a graduate of the Bachelor of Business Administration at the School of Business (MSB), has been admitted to the MPhil in Finance program at the University of Cambridge and has received the “Dr. Liu Chak Wan Scholarship”, established by the University to support her further studies at . During her studies at , she demonstrated outstanding academic performance, leadership, and commitment to social service, and was awarded the “President’s Medalist Award” Silver Medal, one of the University’s highest student honors. She shares: “My four years at MUST have been a truly fulfilling and transformative journey. MSB not only provided me with a solid foundation in finance but also offered many opportunities to go beyond the classroom and explore different possibilities. From serving as a research assistant and participating in academic research to interning at Bank of China (Macau), I was able to turn classroom knowledge into practice and grow through every attempt and challenge. At MUST, I was exposed to knowledge and perspectives from various fields, and gradually learned to think independently, take responsibility, and find the direction I want to pursue. The careful guidance of my professors not only enhanced my professional skills but also encouraged me to stay curious and exploratory.
