Summer is coming, are you ready to embrace its heat and energy?

The Beginning of Summer is the 7th solar term. It marks the vigorous growth period of all living things. After the Beginning of Summer, sunshine hours gradually increase and temperature rise. The rainy season begins and thunderstorms will become more frequent.
On the Beginning of Summer, people make wheaten food with newly harvested wheat to offer sacrifices to ancestors for its blessings. Meanwhile, there is a popular saying: “Dumplings for the Winter Solstice, noodles for the Summer Solstice”.

The most traditional method is cold drained noodles(过水面）. Freshly cooked noodles are plunged into cold water to cool down, then tossed with fresh vegetables and savory sauces. They are both appetizing and perfect for beating the summer heat.

As the summer heat arrives, people spend more and more time outdoors. Go outside more often to enjoy the sunshine and green shade!
