North China Institute of Science and Technology In 1993,BSBCMI was transformed into North China Mining College (NCMC) with the approval of former State Education Commission.

North China Institute of Science and Technology (NCIST) is the only one public university affiliated to the State Administration of Work Safety (the State Administration of Coal Mine Safety), NCIST used to be the branch school of Beijing Coal Management Institute at Yanjiao (BSBCMI) and was founded in 1984. In 1997, former State Education Commission confirmed NCMC as one of the key institutions of

higher education. And early in 2002, North China Mining College was upgraded into North China Institute of Science and Technology.
