🌏 Building Bridges Along the Silk Road: Strengthens Collaboration with Central Asia

From July 27–30, a delegation led by Vice President of Zhejiang University, Prof. Li Xiaoming visited and , opening new doors for bilateral cooperation.

Highlights from the visit:
🤝 Kazakh National Medical University — Fruitful discussions with the country's oldest and top-ranked medical university.
✍️ Nazarbayev University — Signed a formal agreement launching long-term cooperation in research, exchange and talent training.
🎓 Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (NIS) — Signed a cooperation agreement and connected with prospective students curious about studying at ZJU.

The delegation also visited a number of institutions in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, including Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, National Scientific Center of Surgery named after A.N. Syzganov, Samarkand State University and others, laying the groundwork for broader collaboration ahead.

🌐 New connections, shared growth. Together with our Central Asian partners, we look forward to advancing education, research, and healthcare.

✈️ ZJU-ISM on the Move: Indonesia and Singapore Visit! 🌐
A delegation from International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University (ZJU-ISM), led by Executive Vice Dean Prof. Min LOU, recently concluded a highly successful visit to Indonesia and Singapore.
During productive engagements with Universitas Pelita Harapan, National University of Singapore, healthcare groups and educational partners, we explored prospective collaboration on joint programs, clinical training, student recruitment and research. The team also reconnected with our alumni along the way! 🩺🎓

Our International Food Series has wrapped two wonderful sessions: authentic Thai food and vibrant Sri Lankan cuisine.
Working alongside international students, our kitchen recreated classic hometown recipes with genuine spices and traditional cooking methods. From Thai dry hot pot to Sri Lanka black pork curry, every bite carries unique regional charm.

Our campus MBTI & Book Recommendation event has come to a wonderful close! “I’ve read this one too!” “I didn’t know we loved the same books!” These unexpected sparks of connection became the most lovely soundtrack of the activity. Books that once belonged solely to individual collections turned into sources of collective resonance, linking unfamiliar students who exchanged warm smiles over identical lines and narratives.
