Launch of the European Project SAGRIT – Sustainable Agriculture Training for professionals!
The Agricultural University of Athens hosted the kick-off meeting with partners from Greece (Agricultural University of Athens, Creative Thinking Development), Italy (UNIVERSITA DEGLI STUDI DI TORINO), Spain (UNIVERSIDAD DE ALCALA), Κούβα (UNIVERSIDAD DE CAMAGUEY IGNACIO AGRAMONTE LOYNAZ, UNIVERSIDAD AGRARIA DE LA HABANA "FRUCTUOSO RODRIGUEZ PEREZ", UNIVERSIDAD DE ARTEMISA “JULIO DIAZ GONZALEZ”, EMPRESA COMPLEJO MAYABEQUE S.A. (ECM) – Cuban Science & Technology Interface Organization) .
The project funded by the EU with a budget of €400,000, aims to develop innovative training programs for climate-smart agriculture and livestock farming, focusing on precision agriculture, sustainable resource management, and the integration of new technologies.

During the meeting, the project’s objectives, deliverables, and timeline were presented, while discussions covered dissemination activities, the quality plan, pilot trainings, and ways to support Cuban universities with equipment.
Through collaboration and the exchange of best practices, professionals in the primary sector will strengthen their knowledge and skills, contributing to the green transition and tackling the impacts of climate change.
