We were delighted to welcome Mr. Can Kaygısız from Gigabyte Ltd. to Asst. Prof. Dr. Sara Salehi’s “Smart Destinations” class today. Mr. Kaygısız introduced Rezbee, the smart mobile reservation app developed by Gigabyte Ltd., and showed our students how smart technologies are shaping reservation and destination experiences in practice. 📱✨

Gigabyte Ltd. and our departments have a protocol of collaboration, and sessions like this show why such partnerships matter. When academia and industry work together, students see real-world applications of what they learn in the classroom, gain insight into current industry needs, and build the skills and connections that prepare them for their careers. At the same time, industry benefits from fresh academic perspectives and research. 🤝

We sincerely thank Asst. Prof. Dr. Sara Salehi for generously sharing her class with us. We also thank Asst. Prof. Dr. Marjan Kamyabi and Dr. Anıl Eyüpoğlu for joining the session and contributing to the discussion.

Meet one of our speakers for International Project Management Day! 🎤

Today we sat down with Ayakoz Kanatnur, one of our IT undergraduate students, to plan her talk for the upcoming International Project Management Day on November 5th.

Ayakoz served as a project supervisor in the CIU Work and Skills Development Program, and she'll be sharing what that experience taught her about leading projects, coordinating teams, and turning plans into results.

Her journey goes well beyond the classroom: she has competed and placed in international competitions, presented her academic paper at our 7th Digital Global Future Conference (DGFC), served as a reviewer for the upcoming IEEE HONET conference, and authored several articles, with plenty more ideas on the way. 🚀

We're proud to have students like Ayakoz on stage, and we can't wait to hear her insights. See you on November 5th! 📅

UKÜ ev sahipliğinde, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı Mesleki Teknik Öğretim Dairesi (MTÖD) personeline yönelik “İş Süreçlerinde Yapay Zekâ Atölyesi” başladı! 🤖

Eğitim öncesinde Uygulamalı Bilimler Yüksekokulu Müdürü Doç. Dr. Damla Karagözlü ile MTÖD Müdürü Gülşen Hocanın birer konuşma yaparak eğitimin amacına ve önemine değindi. Konuşmalarda, hızla gelişen yapay zekâ teknolojilerinin çalışma hayatına ve kurumsal süreçlere etkisini anlamanın, dijital yetkinlikleri geliştirmenin ve yeni teknolojilere uyum sağlamanın önemi vurgulandı.

İki oturum olarak planlanan atölyenin ilk oturumu, 20 Ekim 2026 tarihinde Uygulamalı Bilimler Yüksekokulu öğretim üyesi Dr. Anıl Eyüpoğlu tarafından gerçekleştirildi. Oturumda yapay zekâ araçlarının iş süreçlerinde nasıl kullanılabileceği, katılımcıların aktif katılımıyla ele alındı.

The “AI in Business Processes Workshop” for staff of the Ministry of National Education’s Department of Vocational and Technical Education (MTÖD) has kicked off, hosted by CIU! 🤖

Before the training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Damla Karagözlü, Director of the School of Applied Sciences, and MTÖD Director Gülşen Hocanın delivered opening remarks on the purpose and importance of the program. They highlighted how vital it is, in an era of rapidly advancing AI technologies, to understand AI’s impact on working life and institutional processes, to strengthen digital competencies, and to adapt to new technologies.

The first of two sessions was held on October 20, 2026, led by Dr. Anıl Eyüpoğlu, from the School of Applied Sciences. The session explored how AI tools can be used in business processes, with active participation from attendees.
