🌍 A new era begins for the Department of Economics at the University of Cyprus!

We are thrilled to announce the approval of our new English-taught undergraduate degree in Economics by the Council of Ministers.

This is an important milestone for the Department of Economics, strengthening our international outlook and creating new opportunities for students from Cyprus and around the world to study Economics in English at the University of Cyprus.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Economics is a flexible program that allows students to pursue studies in Economics, with the option of choosing one of the following concentrations:
📊 Economic Theory and Econometrics (ETE)
🌐 International and European Economic Studies (IEES)

Preparations are already in full swing for the program to welcome its first students in September 2027.

Interested in joining our first cohort? Follow the Department of Economics for updates. At the beginning of the new academic year, the University of Cyprus will publish further information on the procedures and timelines for expressions of interest.
