Founded by Meryl Pressman, a successful New York businesswoman and entrepreneur. She founded custom clothier Chookhare & Sons, worked on Broadway and film as a costume designer, and has partnered with major fashion houses and celebrities for private lines. heater in Princeton, NJ. to Broadway, her talents were recognized by industry leaders and she was brought on board with fashion house BCBG MaxAzria which lead to collaborations with private celebrity lines. Seizing on the opportunity, Ms. Pressman co-founded her own custom clothier company Chookhare & Sons, that grew from NYC to Oakland, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and then Washington DC. Pressman has designed custom ensembles for C-suite executives and entrepreneurs that are leaders in their industry, in addition to private lines with celebrities. Aside from private clients in NYC, she outfitted the entire Oakland Raiders management team including owner Mark Davis and head coach Jon Gruden. Her celebrity clients include DJ Khaled, Lady Gaga, and Snoop Dogg. She regularly outfits professional athletes; most recently MMA stars such as the Gracie family and Manny Pacquiao, and has a regular roster of players on the NY Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets, and other professionals. Beyond her private style clients, Ms. Pressman has appeared as a speaker about fashion and design across the United States, organized successful events in New York City including "Scotches& Swatches," "Bubbles & Blazers," and collaborated on large projects including clothing lines, product launches, and marketing campaigns. Through her work with Chookhare & Sons, Ms. Pressman discovered a much broader and unfilled demand for women's custom clothing. She began realizing her dream of creating a full line of women's professional clothing and fashion consulting, and has demonstrated its potential with successful popups in Manhattan and a book of dedicated clients. Her desire to make women feel as confident and powerful as their male counterparts is the origin of her latest venture Mpress Atelier.
