+++ Massive Open Online Course+++
The Law Society of Ireland is proposing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Environmental Law and Climate Change for free.
When? Starting on Tuesday 18 May 2021 over a 5-week period.
What? This year’s MOOC will provide participants with a comprehensive guide to the key legal and ethical issues affecting the environment and the climate.
It will examine many hot topics including:
· Climate change- international/EU/national obligations
· Climate Bill 2021
· Climate Justice
· Environmental law enforcement
· Ecocide and green crime
· Resource management legislation and the circular economy
· Renewable energy laws
· Sustainable planning for the environment
· Conservation and biodiversity
· Green finance
· Roadmap for change – what we can do
Who? Expert speakers are leading environmental lawyers, academics, climate scientists and conservationists, and include Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland speaking on ‘Climate Justice’.
