2 years in the Commonwealth of Dominica, the Nature Island of the Caribbean. 2 Years of US Clinical Rotations The American Canadian School of Medicine (ACSOM) offers an integrated curriculum mirroring leading US and Canadian medical schools. ACSOM is the only non-profit Caribbean medical school serving US and Canadian students. The MD program boasts a physician-led, small-group, immers

ive classroom experience over four years with the first two years on our world-class campus in Dominica followed by two years of clinical training at our US partner teaching hospitals. The school is fully accredited by the Independent Association of Accredited Registrars (IAAR) and holds preliminary accreditation from the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM). Both accrediting bodies are recognized by the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME). These critical accreditations ensure that our graduates can pursue residency training and licensing in the US and Canada. Holistic Admissions Process
ACSOM offers a holistic admission process using criteria that include academic history, MCAT score, healthcare and other related experiences, and exhibited passion for medicine. The faculty admissions committee interviews applicants and renders all decisions. ACSOM primarily serves US and Canadian students with a mission to make medical school accessible and affordable for all qualified students. Both the US and Canada have far more unique applicants than seats at medical schools making the admissions process quite daunting. ACSOM exists to educate qualified students and help meet the burgeoning demand in both countries that are facing massive physician shortages in the coming years. With a competitive tuition in line with US public medical schools and millions of dollars awarded in merit scholarships, ACSOM ensures that students graduate without the crushing debt load experienced at other institutions. Proven Academic Excellence
ACSOM has proven academic excellence in every area beginning with its founder, Arvin Bagherpour, MD, Interventional Radiologist and the first Caribbean graduate to find a medical school., The administration is comprised of academicians and operations who have educated thousands of physicians. The knowledgeable physician-led faculty along with the supportive and friendly staff contribute to a premier medical school experience. Everything on campus is designed to engage students, fostering success through individual and small group learning. ACSOM was built to train MDs, equipping them with the ethical standards and moral principles needed to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care. The school maintains rigorous academic standards comparable to leading US and Canadian medical schools. Yet, careful consideration has been designed into every phase of the education journey to meet the unique needs of students. Students receive a case-based, integrated curriculum with an emphasis on hands-on learning in a clinical setting from day one through their third- and fourth-year clinical rotations in US hospitals. Elite Clinical Training
American Canadian School of Medicine offers an immersive and personalized educational experience throughout the four-year MD program. The strategic partnerships with US hospitals for third- and fourth-year clinical rotations are designed to offer students world class training under the supervision of leaders in their fields. The objective is to prepare ACSOM students to become the next generation of patient-focused providers who truly make a difference in healthcare delivery. The vision for American Canadian School has always been to set a new standard in medical education. Physician-led Faculty
