Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Wessam Nasr - Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication - Cairo University, the screening and discussion session of the films produced by first-level students at the Faculty of Mass Communication was held today as part of the “Introduction to Cinema” course.

The students’ projects were supervised by Prof. Dr. Bassant Mourad - Professor of Radio and Television and the Course Instructor, and Ms. Aya Shoukry - teaching assistant of the course.

The session was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Heba Nouh - Assistant President of Cairo University for International Branch Affairs, Dr. Marwa Mahmoud, Assistant Professor of Radio and Television and the Academic Supervisor of the Faculty of Mass Communication at the International Branch; and Dr. Sara Khater - Academic Coordinator of the English Program at the International Branch.

The session was also attended by a distinguished group of directors, including Mr. Ibrahim El-Sayed and Mr. Ahmed El-Sayed Abdel Halim.

During the session, students presented a diverse collection of films they had produced throughout the second semester, reflecting remarkable creativity, technical skills, and storytelling abilities. The attendees praised the students’ efforts and the high quality of the projects, considering the session an inspiring step in nurturing a new generation of promising filmmakers and media creators.

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadeq, President of Cairo University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Heba Nouh, Assistant President for International Branch Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Wessam Nasr, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and with the coordination of Dr. Marwa Mahmoud Abdallah, Academic Supervisor of the Faculty, and Dr. Sara Mahmoud Khater, Coordinator of the English Mass Communication Program, Cairo University International Branch hosted the workshop “Mastering Mobile Content Creation ”, featuring Omar AbdelNasser Ghareib, Head of Mobile Studio at Al-Qahera News, and Mohamed Zeidan, Investigative Journalist and Trainer.

The event began with the national anthem. Then, Dr. Marwa welcomed the guest experts and attendees. Prof. Dr. Heba Nouh highlighted the significance of the workshop in encouraging students to learn more and develop their skills.
The students then welcomed the guest experts and gave a brief introduction on their expertise.

Mr. Mohamed Zeidan started with an engaging discussion and brainstorming session on how and why we take photos. This was followed by an enlightening session by Mr. Omar AbdelNasser on the different techniques and perspectives involved in creating visual content. Both experts, then, exchanged presentations to elaborate on effective and influential content creation, and the necessary professional tools required to master it.

The workshop also witnessed the presence of Prof. Dr. Bassant Mourad, course instructor of "Introduction to Cinema" course for first level students.

The event concluded with honoring the guest experts and a group photo in a friendly atmosphere characterized by fruitful conversations and knowledge exchange.
