During the Cultural Season organized by the National Institute of Intellectual Property, we highlighted the essential role of Technology Transfer Offices in managing intellectual property—from documentation to development.

The session, “Localizing Knowledge: Managing Intellectual Property in Technology Transfer Offices from Documentation to Development,” was delivered by Dr. Heba Kaoud, Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Management of Technology and Director of the Intellectual Property & Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO) at Nile University.

تواصل جامعة النيل دورها الريادي في تحويل المعرفة إلى تأثير ملموس في المجتمع. وخلال فعاليات الموسم الثقافي الذي نظمه المعهد القومي للملكية الفكرية، تم تسليط الضوء على الدور الحيوي لمكاتب نقل التكنولوجيا في إدارة الملكية الفكرية من مرحلة التوثيق إلى مرحلة التطوير.

جاءت الجلسة بعنوان "توطين المعرفة: إدارة الملكية الفكرية في مكاتب نقل التكنولوجيا من التوثيق إلى التطوير"، وقدمتها الدكتورة/ هبة الله قاعود، أستاذ مساعد بكلية الدراسات العليا لإدارة التكنولوجيا ومدير مكتب الملكية الفكرية ونقل التكنولوجيا (IPTTO) بجامعة النيل.

من خلال هذا المكتب، تعمل جامعة النيل على تحويل الإنتاج الفكري إلى قيمة اقتصادية ومجتمعية حقيقية. الرسالة واضحة: يصبح البحث ذا أثرٍ فعلي عندما يُدار بشكل استراتيجي ومنظم—وهذا ما ستختبره في برامج الدراسات العليا بكلية إدارة التكنولوجيا (MOT).

Nile University is pleased to welcome Prof. Mahmoud M. Sakr as a Professor at the Graduate School of Management of Technology (MOT).

Prof. Sakr brings a wealth of experience, having served as the former President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) in Egypt. With an extensive background in plant biotechnology and a distinguished career in scientific research and innovation policy, he is well-positioned to contribute significantly to our academic community.

His leadership roles in various international organizations and his substantial publication record, including over 140 scientific papers and multiple authoritative books, will enhance the research landscape at Nile University. We look forward to his valuable contributions as we continue to advance education and innovation.
