Irecha: A symbol of brotherhood and unity!
Irecha is a huge celebration that originated from the Oromo tuba culture where love, peace, unity, and forgiveness are stronger!
Ethiopia is a great country that shines with multi-identity, culture and values, united by nationalism, and upholds brotherhood.
Our country, Ethiopia, is rich in many tuba cultures, and the festival of Irecha is a manifestation of love, brotherhood and gratitude.
It is one of the biggest public festivals.
Irecha is a festival in which the Oromo people thank God for bringing them peace from generation to generation and pray for peace and happiness in the coming era.
Erecha is a symbol of unity, peace and brotherhood, which is celebrated by many Ethiopian ethnic groups in addition to the Oromo people. It is a festival of all Ethiopians registered by UNESCO as one of the intangible cultural heritages at the international level due to its contribution to peace and brotherhood.
Apart from its cultural tradition, the Irecha festival plays a significant role in attracting tourism, so it has a significant role in increasing the income of Addis Ababa, both our country and our economy.
We should all fulfill our responsibilities as usual so that the 2016 Irecha festival is celebrated in a manner that honors our brotherhood and unity, preserves its traditional values and is absolutely peaceful.
