Vignesh Reddy Kandi moved from India to Finland in 2019 and began his Computer Applications studies at HAMK in 2021. ✅

From finding his place as an international student to building something of his own—Vignesh’s journey at HAMK is a reminder that opportunities don’t just happen, you create them. 🚀

Through studies, campus life, RUN-EU experiences, and volunteering, he turned ideas into action—and launched Finland Uncovered, a growing podcast/content platform and community sharing real stories that help people understand Finland better. 

He also went on exchange to Vienna, and describes learning resilience in Finland—plus the freedom to fail and restart—as a big part of his growth. ✨

Hi, I’m Sara, second year student of International Business at HAMK Valkeakoski and your new student ambassador.
I honestly can’t believe how much has happened in just two years and I am grateful for everyone I have met along the way while studying, traveling through RUN-EU and building my career.

Hey everyone! Brandon here! I am your new Student Ambassador and also a deputy board member of HAMKES. I study ICT Robotics at HAMK (Riihimäki Campus). I recently finished my first year and this year has been filled with learning, new experiences, amazing people, unforgettable moments, and fun memories. I’m grateful for everyone I’ve met along the way and I am very excited for what’s coming next🗣️🔥

Vappu, a day hard to put into words until you’re in it. It’s May day, it’s the death of a long cold winter, and it’s students finally exhaling after a year of hard work, all happening at the same time, in the streets, loudly.

Overalls and white caps everywhere, parks full by morning, sparkling wine before most people have had breakfast.
